Viper days and hard tops

I want to try to attend Viper days but I don't have a hardtop and it is hard to justify a $2,500+ expense for one. The only time I put on the soft top is when I wash the car then it is taken off.

Has anybody ever 'borrowed' a hard top from another attendee? Are the tops 'year specific'? I would prefer not to install a roll bar but can anyone give me an estimate on what one costs?

Hard tops are for rent from Autoform at events. Also contact Autoform for a rool bar and its costs. Their system leaves your Viper intact!
