Viper Days is Great. I was at Mid Ohio Saturday. What a great group of people. Thanks Courtney & Skip for being so organized and professional. Had a personal best of 1:46.40.

Kenny, what is your log in name?

Steve-Indy is right, I usually use SUN RA KAT at all the boards I go to. Actually, I never used any other log in name, so SUN RA KAT it is.

SUN RA KAT,

What was your best time? We had bets you would be around 2:00 by the end of the weekend. What a monster you have. Very few people need a supercharger on top of 450 HP...pretty cool!

Doug GTS -

My best was a 2:03.397, but I was pretty consistant between 2:07 and 2:08 on Sunday. Once I was on the track I stayed in 4th gear the entire time - from 30 MPH to 150 MPH, though I usually limited myself to top speeds around 100 MPH to 130 MPH. Much less than halfway down the long starightaway at half throttle I was at 150 MPH several times - I believe with full throttle and a shift to 5th gear I could have hit 180+ MPH easily and still been able to easily do the 90 degree right turn at the end of the straight, but I was more than happy with running as easy as I was. I eventually advanced enough to be a Rookie driver instead of a beginner who doesn't know how to steer.

I was more interested in getting consistant rather than getting a fast time here, a slow time there, or an off-the-track somewhere. At no time did I ever even come close to having my throttle go to the floor. This was the first time I ever did Viper Days or even did road course type driving and I wasn't sure of both my capabilities nor my Viper's. I learned a lot about both. I have much more to learn.

Anyone with a Viper and a Roe Supercharger can go fast - real fast & easily much too fast - down a straightaway - I was more concerned with going through the corners correctly - that's where the real driving is. I now have some idea what my Viper is capable of, and it's more capable than I am as a driver at this point. I knew I had a lot to learn and now I know I still need to learn much more than a lot.

Poor SUN RA KAT's only problem is that he hasn't admitted that he could go faster in a red and silver GTS!!!!

He really wishes he was in one of those Mcann plastics white and yellow comp coupes. I got to look at woodhouses up close and I can't wait to get my hands on one. I will have to say there was a lot of great vipers there and the comp cpupes were AWSOME to watch!
