Question: All the Zaino stuff I've read says its anti-static properties make it repel dust. I didn't find this to be the case at all. In fact after several coats of Z5 then a few more with Z2 and plenty of Z6 spritzes in between, dust still collects like crazy on my car, which is black. And I'm talking about when the car is just sitting still by itself in the garage. Am I missing something?

I noticed another product at the Good Guys car show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in CA called Winners Choice. It was used on the show winning hot rod and had a great shine. It seems to be very similar to Zaino (which I currently use) an anti-static polymer product. I went to their booth for info, they are a detailing shop in Garden Grove CA and starting selling their formula about 3 years ago. They claim they have some former Zaino users for customers because their product doesn't need multiple layers and is therefore easier to use. www.winnerschoiceproducts.com

Michael,

Yes. After all the Z5 and Z2 coats I used just the Z6 and still got as much dust accumulation as with anything else.

I told my professional detailer about Zaino so he ordered up a batch.

Since then, he only uses Zaino. He used to use a German product (glasse or something).

He does a lot of exotics and all the guys are hooked.

The anti-static properties mostly come into play as when you are driving the car...I.E...brake dust, road dust,etc...I have had the dust problem and garage dust all the time...a car cover works wonders for the dust and garage time.
