I've been away for a while but it looks like the V10 deal isn't happening for the full tour this year.
The Ohio VCA partnered with David last year for a race, AutoX and Drifting at National Trail Raceway in Columbus. The Ohio VCA has hosted the Viper Nationals at Norwalk in Sept but moved our big event to Columbus in 04 to get on the V10 schedule.
In the absence of a National tour we want to host a major Viper event again in 05. Ohio is prepared to put $2000 towards a purse and the promoter of the Neo Fest Event will throw in $1000. $3000 Purse.
Now the question for discussion is the format. We can run an index system like Boggs, use the Supercar Challenge classes or create a limited class structure.
My thought is to use the V10 format you pick a class and associated index. We'd have class run offs (for classes with two or more cars) leading to a Top Eliminator for the money. Everyone races handicapped against your class index. Winner and RU split the purse. Some cash for low ET, low ET on street tires plus combined low ET from drags and AutoX.
Last year we had 42 Vipers racing. Who’s in for 2005?
