Ulysses, Correct not a GENII, but don't know if the O/P is shallower on a GEN I vs. GEN II. My GEN II oil plug is on the side like the image, but angled slightly down.

Very good Skeeter.... Bet there's more though.....</FONT f>

Naive 1st gen owner, definite motor ******,,,,,,ask me about chev small blocks........anyway, what obvious differences am I looking at between gen 1 and 2 engines besides rocker ratios ?

External water manifold on driver's side, alternator top-center, separate oil pickup tube, split exhaust manifold (early Gen1), windage tray, wet sleeve cylinder liners, PCV grommet on driver's side valve cover.

Robert1994, To elaborate on the oil pan, the GEN I engine has a top feed oil pick up tube (as pictured) vs. a bottom feeder (cast into the oil pan) on the GEN II.</FONT f>

Aw, you caught me! "After further review" that's the thermostat at the back of the block.

Anyone have a similar c/s for a Gen 2?

Further, same with Mopar Aftermarket Performance head, and

GTS-R also?

The R has a significantly larger ports.
