Viper GTS-B????

Has anyone ever heard of a 1996 Viper GTS-B? The "B" apparently stands for Peter Brock. I ran across one the other day and I am tempted to purchase the car, but I can't seem to find out any information about the car. It has a number 98 decal on the doors and additional script that says "Daytona" on the rear bumper, and it has sidepipes in a two-tone encasement.

I saw a photocopied memo/proposal that outlines what was to be done to the car, but many of the items on the list do not appear on the car, and it does mention a number of Chrysler executives that were needed to green-light the project. Is this the real deal, or am I being scammed?

There was a thread on this a while back. A guy on here had one that was his fathers. I think the story was something along the lines of they took it to the same shop to get worked on for the life of the car. Then the son of the shop owner took over the shop and smashed it up. I remember there being very few made. Might be worth some searching.
