Viper Leaking Engine Oil From Air Intake Box???

took the car to tators for a SC overhaul and a engine leak. problem is my engine doesnt leak oil and was told it came from the air intake box and i need a puke can. anyone with a roe SC car have this problem or is it just me?

D....I have my airbox off and cleaned it all up last night. NOT alot of oil...just enough to be messy. I have a fix in mind, but tell me what you find. :)

I had this problem in the past. Now I am venting my crankcase to a Moroso catch can.

Also if you engin breaths this oil keep in mind that your octane level will drop with all the consequences ....

You mean knock, knock. Who's there? Engine oil. Engine oil who? Engine oil who gonna puke all over D. :D

yup i posted that one, thats the one i havem works great, its a tad heavy, but also rock solid! i mounted it where my washer fluid bottle used to be, so far so good!

Bill, how's that little guy working out for you?

The little guy seams to work great, I did 300 miles and only filled aprox 1/2 of an inch, this is actually a air compressor filter with a in and out back to the intake tube, no problems here.

I had this problem on a road course with my '00 ACR. Engine burps oil into intake box on drivers side just in front of air filter via vent tube from valve covers.

My ghetto fix: keep 1/2 quart less than max capacity in crankcase. Oil did appear to be a wee bit overfilled when I went through tech.

Yep, there is an octane drop. When oil burped into intake, not only was there a LARGE cloud of smoke, but there was momentary detonation. Generally happened accelerating hard out of left turns.

Normally aspirated Gen II car.

I'll get a puke can prior to VIR Viper Days.
