I really don't know why anyone ever complained about the magazine, really what do you expect? Any magazine has things in it someone doesn't like, but for our dues, considering all the other things we get from the dues, if you participate in events, how is it not worth it?

Anyway, LOVE the VPA article and all those pics of the tooling they have. I would jump at the chance just to walk through the VPA warehouse and check out all this stuff ..... my offer .... Can I just go there one weekend and sweep the floor ? It'll take me forever cause I'd be checking out everything in detail, right up my alley ! Ya got to appreciate tools ! As for VPA Competition ? Wow, they have an uphill climb it seems to me, don't want to start anything, but however they did it, VPA is obviously on top of the game. And if they have anyone there with experience in performance mods, that'll be key, but then I just sent in a question so lets see how it comes back.

But the LOGO ? I am not a fan. Tell you the truth, I don't know if I was ever a fan of changing it at all from the original, but then I like the head on Gen 3 version the best, as you can see from the pics of my wheels I just set up.

Keep it going Dodge / VCA, hope to see the 2013 model and if that mega ticket comes thru, I'm in !

I have always been a fan of the "Sneaky Pete" logo myself and a fan of just keeping that logo. Corvette has essentially had the same logo for the cars entire run if i'm not mistaken. However, I do like the new logo. It really symbolizes (IMO) the attitude of the new car.

I will forever be a fan of the Sneaky Pete Logo. I'm not to fond of the Fangs Logo, just doesn't do it for me. When I was a kid, I wanted the B/W GTS so much, it was all I cared about growing up. The car also helped give me motivation to do well in school so I could buy one a couple years after I graduated college(which I did in 2008). For that reason, the Sneaky Pete Logo represents something very sentimental and it is a symbol of a dream that became reality. That logo started the Viper, so I don't feel they should have ever changed it. Just like the previous poster 01sapphirebob said.. Corvette has kept their same logo throughout, just like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, etc., That is one thing the Viper should have done as well. I do like the new logo for the GEN V, I like it better then the fangs logo, but the Sneaky Pete Logo truly represents the Viper's overall image the best.. In my honest opinion. :)

i agree, may favorite is the sneaky pete, but its an interesting concept of changing the logo every 2 generations but i think it would be better if they just stay consistent with the logo

Like what you guys are saying, should have stayed with Tradition, too late now, but i guess the change of logos goes along with the body style changes

I wasn't a huge fan of the Stryker logo at first but it has really grown on me and now I like it! :2tu:
FYI, Corvette has changed their logo at least 17 times over the years even within the the same generations, still based on the 2 flags though. so in that regard the Vipers logo is still based on the snake.

Well then I use Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Aston Martin as my examples then.. Oh ya, and Lotus ;)

At least to my knowledge none of these brands ever changed their logo..

Not sure about Ferrari or Porshe but I know the others have changed over the years also but with much more subtleness.

That may be true, but that's what I'm getting at...subtle changes so you can barely notice really. I always felt they should have left the original logo alone and just modify that one over time with subtle changes, and not completely change it like they have been. :nono:

I think the changes of the Viper logo are drastic when they change (I like em all) compared to the other brands which have just had small changes along the way.
But I think for such an in your face car kickass ride like the Viper it fits. :headbang:

Same logos? :lmao: Who are you trying to kid? Come on guys...you can't be serious.

Even Ferrari has changed their classic logo from having an SF on the bottom to Ferrari. Minor, but a change.

Corvette? Please....even the flags have changed place.....

I stand corrected..... thanks for the post :2tu:

As mentioned before tho... those are more subtle changes, then how the Viper Logo has changed, considering they even changed the name for each logo too!

Great magazine!!! I like the new logo, but on the other hand I not too sure I really like it that much simply because you cannot tell what it is unless you are staring at it from very close up. I have shown several people and they always say: "What is that?" Then I tell them a snake and they reply with something like: "Oh, yea I guess I can see it now."

As far as "Stryker" goes... too cheesy... cornball... IMO

I like the mag. It's quality pics printed on quality stock. I'm not complaining but if they added more illiustrated tech articles that would be good. They do a good job.

The original logo will always be my favorite. The gen III I wasn't crazy about. The new one looks great.

Sure enough I say that, then come home to open my latest issue and on page 22 there is an excellent write up and pics of Gen II thermostat replacement.

The Toyo Tires ******* 46 looks good too.

I actually really like the Stryker logo, though the name could have been something else, but it is okay. I think it is the truly first aggressive logo for the Viper. Love them all, but the new one is the best. From the look, it looks like one of the options drawn for Fangs back in the day.

It's hard to compare changing a car model logo with a company logo. The Ferrari company logo has only slightly changed. SF stands for Scuderia Ferrari, denoting the race team. The Aston Martin logo has changed subtley over the years as well. Personally, I appreciate the difference in Viper logos as calling out a distinction in the evolution and generations of the car. They also seem to represent the persona of each generational change.
