Viper Oil Filter

Hi all, The Wizard recommended the viper filter for me to use so i ordered a couple and here is what the inside looked like compared the the standard Mopar filter. The Viper filter is heavier than the mopar filter as Chuck said it was. here is a couple of photos for those of you that have not seen the filter.

The top photo is the Viper filter.

I just picked some filters up at the dealership for my Viper and they look like the bottom picture with the round holes inside. It is part #05281090 Mopar filter.

That is the old generic Viper filter (also fits many Mitsubishi's--true story). Not the new comp coupe derived filter

There are two filters.............

Both derived from the Comp Coupe, but one fits 2006 on back and the other is for the 08 only. If you have an 08 , make sure you get the correct unit, as the others will not fit. I know we have some in stock and I am sure the Viper Wizard will also - he is always on da ball.

Forget about the oil MoPar filter that fits the Gen IIIs , IIs, and Is, as well as 360s, 5.7s. etc.

Dave, Its just say's Viper on the filter. My daughter filled in the text with a Red permanent marker...looks better now."Red makes it better and faster".
