Trivia -
Dodge did a demographic and marketing survey back in 1997-98. They actually followed up with survey holders to encourage participation. The results were a closely guarded marketing secret!

What they DID reveal was a wildly-loyal to the brand, influential base of customers that affected a wide circle of car buuyers beyond the immediate family. And one amazing stat I do remember was that something like 5-6% of Viper owners also owned, or previously owned.......a HARLEY! With Harleys in aminiscule .0015% or some such of US households, a 5+% figure was huge.

Mike Dalsin of SD (one of my Viper Days students back then) was singled out from the survey as an example of a huge Ram fleet purchase that rose out of his FIRST Chrysler product: his '93 Viper.

This demographics is so stupid and completely contingent on location and multiple factors. I was in the financial industry and had way more money than I do now and way less "worth" because I spent too much. It isn't how much you make; rather how well you live.

If I said I was a therapist in the USA I would make 40k, in Canada it is about double. Add in a wife that also works for the government and it is a comfortable 6 figure salary. Would I get a new viper? No. Could I? Sure. I decided to wait (I registered here in 2004/2005). I decided in 2009 to get a used 2000 GTS ACR for 37k. That made financial sense to our situation.

Education is a BA degree, a masters degree and post graduate certification. Now I COULD just become a "Provincial Police" in canada and make 100K with NO university degree. However I wouldn't trade my knowledge, education and experiences for anything.

There are 30 year old people that have 500k cars, 5 million dollars mansions and by 40 will be broke. Demographics really mean nothing other than trying to see how well you match up; your "E-Peen" is to others. It's lame.

There is a red and a blue themed shirt. Made in HI by Spooner.

They also make ladies dresses in the same fabric....

Some club vendors carry them.....

Another aspect to the Camaro and Vette demographic was what owners were using their car to compensate for.
Camaro owners were compensating for an emasculating mother :nono:
Corvette owners were compensating for erectile dysfunction :crazy2:
Since I have neither problem to compensate for with the above vehicles, what is it as a Viper owner that I may be compensating for :dunno:

NorCal Pres. Maurice announced at our dinner Tuesday that Viper owners average age were some of the youngest amongst exotics....he also said that Viper owners had the highest divorce rate.

I believe the divorce rate was before Viper ownership (as it was for me) and after compromising a lot to remain married for a decade I chose not to compromise once I was divorced....and thats why I bought a Viper and remain unmarried to this day.

Useless demographic statistics I'm willing to put a "Trading Places" bet on:

-Viper owners are the least likely to have a purse dog
-Viper owners are the most likely to own an axe and a chainsaw
-Viper owners are the least likely to shave their chest hair
-Viper owners are the most likely to moon a politician

Regards,
Aaron

Divorced before viper. currently in a relationship.
4 years of college to become an auto tech.

now i drive a tow truck.

Its all about what you do with the income you have. I saved for 2 years and worked hard to have a viper in my garage.

Slysnake- I've seen those Viper shirts on Ebay from time to time.

1- Age 40 (1st Viper at 27)
2- Married but looking, but frequently reminded: No matter how good she looks, some other guy is sick of her *crap* and I prob can't afford her anyway!
3- Income See #2.

Yup, Cam, I am a fully certified interior firefighter in CT. and driver of most of our trucks. I'm old, but most of the guys have no idea how old I am...look somewhere in low 50's. It is a volunteer department, as is most of CT, so there is less focus on age. 14 years in Karate, 6 years in body building and some really great genes from my parents contributed to this!:2tu:
