Viper Owners in Wisconsin?

I'm in the Madison, WI area (Verona, WI) and wondering if there are any Viper owners nearby. I'm in the early stages of looking to buy and would love to see the various colors in person. Also it would be nice to get to know some other owners in the area for when I actually become one myself :)

Also, wondering if there is a Viper Tech in the area? If not, does that mean I'm roadtripping to Chicago if I have a problem?

I think I might also take a trip to Chicago to look at color options...looks like there are around 10-12 at various dealers in that area.

Thanks,
Jason

There are a few of us around, though I am a former owner but looking for my forth as we speak. Steve911 and I live in Cottage Grove. There is an owner in Fort Atkinson as well. There is an owner in Verona as well but he is very recluse and pretty much keeps to himself, very rarely drives his Vipers.
The closest tech that knows his stuff is Snake Oyl Products in Dane, just west of waunakee. Cory Gehling is the owner and knows his stuff.

Hi, I am in North Lake and have a '96 GTS. There is a Viper tech at Dodge City in Brookfield.

Thanks for the replies...sounds like there are some Viper owners in the area which is great to hear. Also sounds like it's not too far to get to a Viper Tech, which is great. Now I just need figure out what the heck I'm going to get...too many choices and unfortunately I'm one of those who will have to have the "perfect" Viper, which means it will take me forever to figure out year/color/coupe/vert etc. And then once I decide, I'll probably be challenged to find one.

Right now, my current favorite is probably a '08 Vert - GTS Blue/White...problem is, I've not seen very many color combinations in person...so that is going to be my next step, just look at as many Vipers as I can. Wonder if I would be able to go to the next Viper Club event just to look?

Yeh, go to the IL meetings or go by Roanoke motors.

You like an '08 or a b/w GTS?

Maybe figure out what body style/Gen you like best, and what your budget is...

then go from there.

As Leslie suggested, make a trip to the IL monthly meeting. You will see a wide variety of generations and colors. Good luck!

Jason, those initial steps are fun, enjoy it!

I think the best suggestion is to come down to an IL Region meeting (most WI owners belong to our group). You'll find 100+ passionate people and we AVERAGE nearly 35-40 per meeting. So you'll have a lot to choose from. I'm impartial to Snakeskin Green, but that's just me. ;.)

I'll issue a preemptive welcome to you and wish you good luck in hunting. I'm there if you need me, just PM.

Thanks Smokn. The next meeting is a Wed night March 28, think there will be many Vipers? I assume it depends on what the weather is like. I'll look up the location and keep an eye on the temp.

Hey Witz, my sister in law lives outside of Delafield. How do you like owning a vert in WI?

Thanks, I might try to make it down later this month.

Since I only drive the car from May through October I wouldn't have anything but a drop top. Nothing like a roadster for summer time in Wisconsin.
