Has anyone bought a C&C Manufacturing Viper Trailer? They advertise all the time in Viper Magazine. What is your opinion of them?

Trailers have been discussed here in great detail. You can go from basic to extreme. C&C offers a very customized trailer for those who want / need the options they have. With options come weight. Know what you will be towing it with before you get it too heavy. Also know that everything weighs more than they tell you. You can nnever have too much tow vehicle - your Excursion will be good. A pickup for a gooseneck is even better. Also, with options comes $$$$ - and those trailers can add up easily - then you are pigeon holed as to the potential customers should you decide to sell.

In my opinion - lighter is better. National brand better than smaller retailer (for warrantly issues, and resale, mostly). The less optioned the better - it's lighter and more flexible. Who knows after a season of ViperDays what you would want to do differently in a trailer. (i.e. cabinets - unless you have a second set of tools and a climate controlled storage facility, built in tool boxes aren't worth it, IMO.) Basic trailers are less $$$, hold their value better, and are more marketable in the event you need to sell or want to sell at a later date.

We've outfitted 2 trailers ourselves. 2 other VCA members have ordered trailers identical to ours since we've done this and a third has a 1 car version of our 2 car.

We've paid extra up gront for our Featherlite, but think we made a wise decision -long term and are very happy with it. Consider aluminum construction for weight and for durability.

Let me know if I can help....

Yes, I bought one last summer. I had it at the VOI in Nashville. White with Blue Viper Logos. Anyway, I live less than 1 hour from the manufacturer and got to know Victor, the owner. He's also a Viper owner & great guy. The trailer's awesome & he will customize it anyway you want. He did alot of xtras for me. It's a 34' fifth wheel trailer, fully loaded... Toolbox, air compressor, tire racks, *****, electric gas dispenser, air condition/heat,tons of lighting in&out, awning & many more. I use a Ford F350 turbo diesel dually to pull it & it's like the trailer's not even attached when I'm towing! Anyway, it was great to do business with Victor ( C&C ) & I recommend him however; he was very slow in getting my work done so try to pin him to a date if you go with him. Tell him I recommended him. Any questions please email me. Good Luck!
