OK so bright silver metallic in place of steel Gray and that should be in front of race yellow. I think?

You'll have to tell me sometime where you deciphered this

I was thinking Red and Silver, then after reading Broom's post black and yellow made sense. Not sure I would have come up with blue, and I also don't know the official names that well.

Fun fact, the pace car was supposed to be a Dodge Stealth one year, but the Stealth was deemed too "foreign" due to its Mitsubishi underpinnings, so they rushed to put a Viper together to replace it for the pace car.

In 1994 they changed the placement of the battery for the RT/10. Where was it originaly and where did it end up?

Originally in the rear center through the trunk. Moved to behind left rear wheel, requiring tire to be removed for access.

Ran across some tech notes from 1995, so this should be interesting.

The thermostat on the Viper RT/10 engine?

A. Opens at 125F
B. Is located inside the radiator.
C. Has coolent flowing through it at all times.
D. Is made of magnesium.

By forcing shifts from 1st gear to 4th gear, under light acceleration, it reduces RPM and improves MPG. It does it by blocking the shifter from 2nd and 3rd. There are kits available to eliminate this feature. Basically a 2.2 K ohm resistor placed across the two wires on the CAGS solenoid allows shifting to any gear at any speed. It will still display the skip shift light in the dash. There are eliminator kits available with complete plug and play harnesses. Beware the really cheap kits, you will get a 10 cent resistor and a couple pages of instructions, telling you to stuff the loose ends of the resistors into the plug and tape it up with electrical tape. The better kits are typically $12-$15 for the right ones on ebay, watch year application also, plugs are different!

OK, I understood the purpose and it's why I often give lengthy answers.

Unless you live in LA, NYC or drive only in parades the mileage savings would be minimal so I would guess A.

The concept was first used in the late 80's on Corvettes. It's also used on almost every T56 or TR6060 transmission produced.

A if your lucky, most of the time you just bog down the motor and manifold vacuum drops and you use more fuel, first thing I got rid of after the cat converters.
