Has anyone on the net experienced driving both these cars?

I'm currently in search of one and could use a little insight
since the closest i have found so far that i like is in Florida.
BTW the GTS stays.

Thanks in advance.

I sat in the new one (that I can not pronounce the name of). I'm 6.2" and could not fit in it comfortable.

Cool car, not made for tall guys.

Hey there,
I've driven several kinds of Diablos: the SV, VT, and the Roadster. Those cars are amazing, especially their stability at high speeds (went upto 190mph)

However, I don't think it's worth 4x as much money as a Viper! The performance is not that much different, except at high speeds

You're better of spending the money on another Viper or two

Where's Jeff Ellison when you need him? He can give you a great comparison (since he owns both of these cars). He's also done a decent amount of track time in both.

If I had the means my choice would be the "last of the gts"
and mod the daylights out of it. Send it to TNT and get the
Kingsnake package. Less money and then you have an amazing car.

just my 2 cents.

I just talked to a guy who services Lambos, and he mostly talked about how they were extremely unreliable and how their owners were bringing them in all the time. He said something like "Don't buy a Lamborghini if you want to drive more than a block." Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there.

I owned a Diablo VT. I found the car to be a nice piece of art, not a real car. The build quality rivaled my 77 Lotus Esprit, the repair costs were ridiculous, and the dealers sucked. One (in Ohio) tried to sell me a new clutch ($10K) on the car right after I bought it with 1,000 miles on it. They wanted an additional $5K to fix a leak in one of the cylinder banks. The Dealer in Atlanta was worse...

One other story, I reached in the car, under the dash, to open the hood (lever under the driver dash). I got what I thought was the lever and pulled. When the hood did not open I investigated only to find that I had grabbed the aluminum dash and bent it back!

Cool looking car, rather have a Viper.

Just my .02 worth.
