But the Viper is singularly THE best car ownership experience I have had, out of the 20 or so new cars that me and my wifey have bought. Its the most dramatic, most exciting, best performing, wildest looking, most head turning, sexiest, most beautiful and agressive, unique, most satisfying car to own that I have ever had. Whatever you say about Vipers, you gotta admit, that Dodge put something great in the hands of the American automotive enthusiast. :usa:

Gross understatement!!!!!!!! :2tu:

If you want a middle of the road, high volume, granny sports car you're better off with a Vette. I'll stick to my unique drop jaw, eye balls in the back of my head, monster mobile any day.

My thoughts exactly!!!!   :2tu:

ron, I was just going by published MSRP on the 02 ACR. If people were paying a lot less that does enter into to it but MSRP is still MSRP.

Why bash any Viper version?? GREAT QUESTION?!?!?!

"Wow! DC paid for a new engine with 95,000 miles on it??? That's something."

I don't think the warranty was with DC at the time the engine was changed. The company that paid for the engine was "Dimention Warranty". If that's the name of a DC company warranty then I'm interpreting this wrong. I thought it was an extended warranty company. Not DC.

First i DID NOT start this thread to inflame people or whatever that guy said i wanted to know the answer to thw question. I`ve been out of town for the last 2 days boy you guys bring up alot of good points about both cars but i feel much better about my viper now. I didn`t know if maybe they secretly self distucted around 30000 miles or something. Fact is im 25 years old and i remeber going in the dodge showroom around early 1992 and drowling over the new viper. They made you give 1000 dollar diposit just to drive the car. I didn`t even have my liscene so of course all i could do was look at it but i said right then i would own a viper some day. So now i bought my first rt/10 which i love and is even better than i even imagined and i don`t plan on letting it sit in the garage all the time. I hope to keep it for along time and have many happy miles in it. I just can`t see buying a car just to say you have it sitting in your garage. Anyway thanks for all the helpful info.

Also someone asked where the 117 came from. My last name is stevenson and i use to race motocross alot i was the 1998 alabama state champion i had to brag a bit lol. 117 was always my mx number.

Joe117 how do you post pictures on these forums? I can`t figure it out.

To post a picture, you have to have some web space to post the picture on line.
You will then have an address for the picture.

When you hit the "reply" button on someone's post or start a new post, you will see a place where you can select "image".

Paste the address for your picture in the dialog box that comes up.
I don't think you can post pictures with the "quick reply" feature.

There is a "test post" area where you can try this. That way you won't clog up an ongoing thread with practice.

Someone else may be able to explain this better.

Wow, we both have 117 for about the same reason.
I was a division champ in 1992 at Potomac Speedway in Maryland.
