Vipermania / Northwind hardtops

Debating on buying one of these. Not sure.

Both are excellent tops I know, but was curious if anyone had any recommendations in either direction...

I know the NW top sits flatter, but is it also lower?? I've never seen them side by side.

I have VMania windows now and must say the quality is amazing

Anyone got any good pics (close up) of either?

I sure do like my Autoform top. The top, I believe, is held in place better than the others. You have to open the hood to remove or put it on as it held on by a tensioner(?). A member in our club had his Vipermania top blow off as he was driving about 100mph. It was also windy that day. I have been at 155 with my top and no lift what-so-ever. Personal preference for me but they are all nice.

Who had there Vipermania top blow off?? and if so why weren't we contacted??...The only way that can happen is if the top was incorrectly installed!!.. I personally speed tested our top to 160mph with only 2 of the 4 mounting points locked, what you're saying is impossible?? One of the biggest benefits is our locking system...."It won't blow off"!!!...

I agree with Biff. My VM top is rock solid. With the top installed correctly I can't imagine it flying off at any speed. I've had mine to 150 and it was absolutely fine.

Tim, I don't think I did get those dash pics. I still don't know if I'm just going to replace it with a new one, paint it or go with carbon fiber. Also, I'll see if I have any rear shots of the car with the top on.
