Not sure how many Viper owners are into Hill climbs (as very little interest or support from UK bunch) but if of interest to anyone out there, the UK Roe-Supercharged "Twins" took 1st and 3rd. The Vipers are also to be featured in a film about British hill climbs (that I'm co-presenting) ;) One of the last hill climbs of the year here, and very steep and a tight hairpin up near the top. It's held at Longlete safari park, where normally Lions roam. But, hill climb day...their roar is replaced by revs and rumbles of closely competing horse power; 2nd and 3rd place were seperated by just 100th of a second in our race class! There was moss and algee on the track under the trees at the start of the morning, replaced by rubber by the end of the day :smirk:

A little tyre warming was captured here...but someone need enlightening re Chargers and Supercharger Vipers!!

Explaining Viper things to you
Over on this side of the pond we do the Pikes Peak event. They even race tractor trailers up this beast. Never seen a Viper do it though. Maybe because it's a dirt track.

Way cool stuff there Nadine.

Congrats Nadine!

Since I love driving up the passes in the Alps a lot I can see (at least a little bit) what you must have experienced.

Those are excellent pictures!! It's awesome seeing Vipers out being driven like they were built to be driven...Every time I see stuff like this, I feel a little guilty for not getting out there and flogging mine a little more than I do. :D

Congratulations!

And I took 2nd in the Viper Mountain Climb in Revelstoke, BC last month. 24kms of slow to 20kph corners! Only Vipers allowed to run, although there was a Ford Focus that butted into the middle of the race. I guess since he didn't wait until the end of the Vipers a few sprayed his car with rocks as they blew by him, lol. It was a blast!

Pike Peak is one event I would love to come see, we have some of the cars come over to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, they are awesome. Is it a private track or can you drive the course when the event's not on? Unfortunatly I can't ship my Viper over to USA :omg: :omg: I did ship the mini-viper over (for Tators BBQ) but I'm still trying to pay that off the card :( Would be cool to come race over the pond, I might do a drive in a 24 hour race.

Hey Ted, you all go out on the course together? Over here you just make the run on your own. I like that, it reduces the risk factor to the car, as there are no other cars on track to have to think about ...as I can get into plenty enough trouble just on my own :naughty:

Our Mountain Hillclimb/rally was - each of us left a minute apart, so we were racing alone, sort of. Same as you guys do it, we were racing the clock, not each other. Not quite as much adrenaline, but it has to be done for safety reasons. Search "Revelstoke" for the thread and pics.
