Whiteman Air Force Base is the home of the B-2 Stealth Bomber. The Wings Over Whiteman annual air show is the weekend of June 19-20 and the Viper Club of America has been invited back for an encore display of power! After a parade inspection in front of the Air Force brass, your Viper will be on display right next to some of the most amazing American military aircraft ever seen. You also get to enjoy a great air show and check out a lot of planes up close. Have you ever been in a B-1B or A-10 cockpit? Now you can!
As is to be expected, security is VERY tight for this event - both you and your car will be extensively screened prior to entrance. Indeed, if you are interested in joining us, you MUST have certain information to me NO LATER than May 31st. There are no "last-minute" attendees, even if you live right next to the base itself. We had almost 20 Vipers there last year (the base commander, a General, even took one for a drive for an informal flight-line inspection) and we hope to double that this year. If you are interested in joining us, please send an e-mail to [email protected] ASAP. This event is FREE and we would be happy to help find convenient lodging for our out-of-town guests (our Kansas City departure point is right by a nice new hotel).
