It's hard to imagine the McLaren couldn't beat the ACR's time given their additional testing, better power to weight, and fancy aero stuff. Not that we should care that the newest supercar in the world can beat a 8 year old platform that's out of production and costs 1/3 as much.

At the end of last week, the new run and record was listed on the Wikipedia Nurburgring results page (beating the LFA). Checking in yesterday it was removed ???? Not there today.....
Maybe needs official confirmation ?

My guess is that because there was no official press release and video from Dodge, they took it off. You'll notice, they didn't pay attention to the ACR-X number I had put down below...haha. I'm not going to stress about it. When the video and stuff comes out, we'll put it back up.

The MP4-12C team was there for the past coupe of weeks doing drives through the back roads and on the track and photo shoot opportunites, they had two cars running around town we ran into them on several occassions, there whole team came over when we were there looking at our cars.

Very true. At this point it better be HUGE news, like the ACR-X they ran was actually a stock Gen V underpinnings or something, because with all the anticipation that they've built up, anything less is gonna be "meh" news.

I received a press release from SRT today touting the exploits of Ralph and his crew at the Targa Rally. They did really well and raised lots of Money for the charities. CONGRATS.

BUT in that same release in the following paragraph they mention breaking the Ring Record by going 7.12.

Is this the big press release we have been hearing about? If so what a disappointment.
