No worries, he is just yanking your chain. Many Viper owners show up at a VOI and it is their very first one. It's even more fun that way! That seems a little unlikely to me. What if you are a newer viper owner. They would'nt exclude any owner I feel, just because you havent been an owner for 10 years.
Supposedly it isn't - unless you got some of that good intel that seems to come out of Vegas this time of year. One of the guesses in this thread is correct. Supposedly, it is a "done deal."
Seriously, I think I can safely say that it is being explored but is absolutely NOT locked in yet. As noted earlier in this thread we simply don't know what resources can be committed from the manufacturer, among others. While many like to think that the owner's individual entry fees cover the cost of the event they aren't even close. And if we raised member dues to $300 a year we still couldn't cover it either.
Instead we patiently work with our manufacturing partner to make sure these events are mutually beneficial: We get a great opportunity to spend time with fellow owners and have a fun 3-5 days (and nights), while they get the opportunity to showcase their products to some of their most influential consumers. And for those that may have missed it, our manufacturer is under new ownership and new management. If you think this kind of expenditure is a slam dunk you would be sorely mistaken.
The VCA is doing absolutely everything possible to make VOI 10 a reality. Rest assured we will let you know when it becomes exactly that.
