That seems a little unlikely to me. What if you are a newer viper owner. They would'nt exclude any owner I feel, just because you havent been an owner for 10 years.
No worries, he is just yanking your chain. Many Viper owners show up at a VOI and it is their very first one. It's even more fun that way!

One of the guesses in this thread is correct. Supposedly, it is a "done deal."
Supposedly it isn't - unless you got some of that good intel that seems to come out of Vegas this time of year. :D

Seriously, I think I can safely say that it is being explored but is absolutely NOT locked in yet. As noted earlier in this thread we simply don't know what resources can be committed from the manufacturer, among others. While many like to think that the owner's individual entry fees cover the cost of the event they aren't even close. And if we raised member dues to $300 a year we still couldn't cover it either.

Instead we patiently work with our manufacturing partner to make sure these events are mutually beneficial: We get a great opportunity to spend time with fellow owners and have a fun 3-5 days (and nights), while they get the opportunity to showcase their products to some of their most influential consumers. And for those that may have missed it, our manufacturer is under new ownership and new management. If you think this kind of expenditure is a slam dunk you would be sorely mistaken.

The VCA is doing absolutely everything possible to make VOI 10 a reality. Rest assured we will let you know when it becomes exactly that. :2tu:

Detroit would certainly make more financial sense. Easier coordination, because it's local to the manufacturer. What would really be cool, is a combined tour of CAAP while out there. Plus the Chrysler museum and the facillities. Ya, I'm a car nut, why not have it during the biggest week of cruising in the US. A slam dunk event. I guess it might not appeal to some Viper owners. I'll be there!

Not only financial, but come on.. there can only be ONE V.O.I.10 and there can only be ONE place: Viper's birthplace! And yes they would need to do something with the factory, though I'm not sure what exactly. I am absolutely making plans to be there!

If the recent past is any indicator, if i recall, the dates and location of VOI9 was made available about 6 months before the event. Therefore, we likely won't know for a few more months. But as previously mentioned, no negative news is reason for optimism at this point.

Any more info?
Someone must know what is going on here!!!

Agreed. Not even breadcrumbs or wink-wink, nudge-nudge?
I really do need to know a long time in advance as I need to start saving up for the entire journey, unfortunately my current job doesn't pay me all that well and I also have a car that is in dire need of bodywork TLC..

The National VCA officers meeting is in Scottsdale this January. I have to be there as I was elected the new Pres. of the AZ Region of the VCA. I have heard that VOI 10 is probably going to be in Detroit. Not a great place for those of us out west, but we'll see. Will probably know more after the meeting in January. Hang in there......I believe it will happen with or without Cerebus.

Nothing is ever a done deal until facilities are booked, but you may want to put aside some time (and $$$) for a VOI in 2008. The location (city/state) is not a lock, however I am sure more will be announced soon by your National President... :2tu:
