Talking about VALET parking and VIPERs is a contradiction (or should I say plain nonsens) in itself...especially, when 600 (750?) snakes are there!

BTW, walking isn't bad for the health at all.

Not everyone will be in their Vipers at VOI (I won't). If you're thinking 600+ snakes there, there's DEFINATELY no room for that in the front. Leaving it in their parking garage with all the rentals and minivans is as safe as leaving it with a valet.

Venetian has two valet points, on right up front at the hotel porte cochere, and the second is the mall valet in the parking garage, which is about 75 yds or so from an entrance to both the mall and the casino, although it is pretty far from the registration desk.

I take it you have not been to a VOI before. Separate and roped-off parking is typically provided to keep the Vipers from the unwashed masses parked at the VOI hotel.

I'm just saying there isn't enough room for 600+ Vipers by the front doors as was indicated in the initial post, roped off or not. You can fit 60 tops. If there is a roped off section, it would be in the garage. All things considered, I'd rather stay at the Mandalay Bay.

We just had an event at the Mandalay Bay. They refused to valet park RT/10's without tops. They would not take responsibility for ******* cars. Lots of hassles.
The Venetian is a fantastic property. First class. Largest standard rooms in town. Dodge usually organizes roped off and secured private parking area in the attached structure. It is a great place to wander around looking at all the differently modified Vipers. The place has good access to the freeway to make the run to the track, to the ralley tour, and in and out of town. It is a great choice. Hope it gets finalized.

This is a premier location for a VOI event. The venue is first rate for driving and track events. The spouses love the shopping, dining and night life. Not the best place for children, but circus circus and other hotels cater to the kids.
Great time of the year in Vegas, and going mid week takes off lots of pressure from weekend crowds.

I have shipped my car to several VOI's and it was a painless experience. Your car arrives clean, and ready to go. After the week it is tired, and you just leave it filled to the gills with VOI memoribilia, while you catch a cab to the airport. Couple days later it is delivered to a location near you, and sometimes right to your home.

I attended the last VOI in Vegas. Had a fantastic time, and am already looking forward to Viva las Vipers II.

Fear is temporary... unfortunately for you, ugly is permanent. :p

I'm sitting IN the Venetian as I type this. So I have an immediate eye on the grounds here. I would say I know more about this than you at the moment. The inital post said parking will be by the front door. I'm just saying there isn't room for that many Vipers there period. Most likely, it will be roped off in the garage. Roped off is better than just "fend for yourself parking" among the rentals. My concern is that if they roped off a 60 car area and 600 cars show up, will the rest have to park in unroped-off areas? I hope not.

Paul - I hope there's going to be a better name chosen than "Viva Las Vipers II". Maybe the VCA could throw it open for suggestions?

Perhaps it's seasonal, but it's not very crowded here right now. Maybe during off seasons they close the front valet points. I've looked and asked, but only get pointed to the area around back, which is pretty far from the registration desk.

It's not a walking/exercise issue. My time is valuable and I'm not going to waste an extra hour or two a day self parking through 4-5 hotels. I can exercise when I get home.

That ***** about Mandalay Bay. Good thing I have a gts. I'm still undecided if I want to bring my snake there... most likely a no, but I might change my mind by then. I'd rather drive it there from cali than having it shipped. Any good detailers in vegas?

For a name, how 'bout "Craps VOI is in Vegas!"

Just kidding I am looking forward to it! This will be my third VOI. I trailered to Nashville, shipped to Texas, and I may or may not even take my car to Vegas.

Fang buddy...

Chill out. Parking will be handled and all will be safe and secure. Detailers flock to the opportunity to keep 800 Vipers clean 24/7. Dates are tenative until we sign a contract but the VOI planning staff are all heads up about the needs of Viper owners (after 8 VOI's what problems have they NOT yet seen?) just be patient.

Bring your car...bring your self..we're gonna have a blast!

Agreed. Viva Las Vegas II would be the worst name, but the event should be fantastic. If we get a contest going I will personally buy the selected winner a drink of their choice at the open bar. ;>)

Warfang. Two choices. You can be independent and valet your Viper or park in the secured, covered, roped off group parking area. Both have usually been available at previous VOI's. Even in Vegas, all eyes turn to see who will get into the Valet presented Viper at the front door.

After watching Ferris Bueller's day off for the 10th time I have my concerns about Valet parking my Viper, but have done it many times. Just casually fliping my Viper keys to the valet always gets a reaction.

Third option is to tip the Valet to leave your Viper right up front, and in view. Usually works for me.

We stayed at the Wynn two weeks ago.Very nice place. service was decent. But parking and valet seemed to be great. The Venetian is a fantastic property, and is in process of an addition. Is the Wynn out of the question we may get a heck of a deal since its new and they where about to lay off employees due to being slow.Just curious.Would love to go ,when will things be rock solid??

If they do parking anything like VOI5 in Vegas (in 1999), it won't be a problem/issue. They blocked off the top floors of the MGM Grand parking structure for us - you had to be driving a Viper to drive above a certain floor. However, your comment of "hiking a half mile" (taken out of context, I know) is a pretty accurate description of where we were parked at the MGM Grand; it definitely seemed to be that far away (especially when carrying luggage) and took about 10 minutes to get to/from the car to the room.

However, I can't stress to you enough to go ahead and drive or otherwise bring your Viper to VOI. I've driven to every VOI I've attended - I mean, whats the point, otherwise?
