I am having a heck of a time getting in and out of my Gen 3 Vert with the top up. I think the 2" lowering kit would help me immensely.

Long story/short. I had to have a spinal fusion of my C3-C5 vertebrae due to a texting driver going 55mph running off the road and hitting my car directly in my door. Now with the spinal fusion and two titanium rods supporting my spine I sure can't bend like I used to!! (Plus I'm not getting any younger!):(

I'd prefer to get the kit for both drivers and passenger's sides - Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

My car came with one. Makes it a lot easier to get in and out of. Much easier than my 99 rt10 was. I'm 26 and it's still not the easiest getting into these cars..

No responses yet to my request for the 2" lowering kit, so I started searching the web to buy them new. Any suggestions on whose style is best and who has the best prices? I did see on the XVIPERS website they sell the complete set (drivers and passengers) for $390 (195/seat). But, after reading the reviews for that vendor I have my doubts - doesn't seem like XVIPERS has the best customer service...

One last question - I am wondering if only the drivers side had the 2" system installed do the seats look odd from the back - since the drivers seat sits lower than the passenger side?

Thanks again...

I have one that I bought for my gen 4, I believe it is the same as of the Gen 3. Never installed it as I am not that mechanically inclined since the gen 4 has a lot more issues on install. I would be willing to sell, NIB. What are they going for?

Not positive - but I'm pretty sure it will fit my Gen3 - maybe somebody could help out with some information...

What I've seen for prices - the better prices range from $195 to $249. Of course, I've seen them higher (329 etc.) but not sure if they sell many at the higher prices.

Send me a PM with what you want for it.

Thanks.

If you have the seats at different heights it might not look too funny from behind if you change the recline angle on one or the other. I know on my car I have the seat forward a bit so I can recline it more and get my head lower on the driver side. Makes it look lower from behind compared to the passenger if the seat is all the way back and upright.

I installed one of these in my Viper. Install was not that bad, being 6'3" i thought this would help me fit better. I removed it within a week, it made it diffucult to get out of the car, and it moved me closer to the windshield.
Just my opinion, but especially with a back problem, this will make it tougher to get out.

Thanks for the insight - I appreciate it.

I'm 6'2" - and I'm really hoping that since my issue is with my upper neck, the seat will be low enough I don't have to bend my neck so much to be able to get out. I wish there was someone around that had the kit installed so I could see if it would make a difference but there's not many Viper owners around my area so I have to give the kit a try.

I think they make a 1" kit as well that keeps front to back adjustability. Thought about the 2" kit myself as well (not as tall at 6', but would help for helmet clearance if I track it), but didn't want to lose the front to back adjustment.

I tried the 1" kit in my car but it didn't feel secure. It would let me move the seat forward but I always had it all the way back. The 2" kit bolted the seat to the floor and was much more stable.
