Someone mentioned the guts out of a Gen 1 pump can be used to rebuild Gen 2s.

Can anyone confirm this? And how would one do this?

Would be good to know going forward in the future as these may continue to be hard to get.

GTS Dean, Anyway you could elaborate on the rebuild process?

I will take a general swing,

1, press/remove the impeller and shaft
2. remove bearings/seals
3.remove same from donor pump
4. insert bearings seals
5. replace shaft and press/install impeller

I'm just looking for any gotchas on the process as I have a used gen 2 pump from when I replaced mine and am willing to try a rebuild and do a writeup.

Looking at options right now, I really appreciate the offer. Not an immediate need right now as this is an old used pump I replaced. Nothing wrong with the one on the GTS right now.
