Warranties on \'96/\'97 Vipers

I've seen some classified ads for '96'/97 Vipers claiming they're under Chrysler warranty way past 2003. My knowledge of what's available through Chrysler is limited . I thought 7yrs was tops..what's available?, and are those warranties available only when buying from Dodge dealers? Thanks [email protected]

I'm sure others will chime in here, but I believe the answer is no. I have a friend who bought a warranty for his 93 and did not purchase the car through a dealer. Call some of the board sponsors, Woodhouse, Tator, etc and I'm sure that you can get the information your looking for.
