Warranty? Dealers....

My extended warranty will run out in Feb. Is there any way to extend it? I thought once someone posted the was a "used car warranty" or power train warranty that was avalible?

From what i understand. once your viper has been extended, it can not be re extended...

On my extended warranty from Chrysler (4 years/48K miles with a $100 deductible), it can be transferred ONE TIME.

i didn't want to transfer warranty 1 time...i wanted to keep an extended warranty on the car....after the first 36 month warranty then the next 4 year warranty, after 7 years that is it from what i understand...am i wrong?

Unfortunately, I think you're correct. If anyone out there knows otherwise, please let us know. The original owner of my Viper opted for a 7/70 warranty which expired this year. I, in turn, purchasd an extended warranty for another 4/48. That'll cover me until 2005. Beyond that, I'm afraid we're on our own.

at least you got another warranty...maybe i'll sell it to my wife, she can then become the 2nd registered owner of the car and get an extended warranty till 2005..at least this will help out some....what do you think???

Don't call Bill P. because he kept telling me that I could not get another warranty on my car. I can! I've got a 94 whose warranty runs out in Feb. I can then get one more warranty for 4 years or 48,000 miles for $1995. I will have a warranty on my car until Feb. 2006! I have talked to two dealerships now which both says there is no problem getting the warranty.

Try Bill, but I went through my local Dodge dealer in St. Joseph, MO and the Dodge dealer in Kansas City, MO said they will be waiting for me in Feb. to extend my warranty. Both the same price, $1995. If you want the #'s to these dealers, I'll gladly get them for you, just let me know. And if you do call them, tell them I referred you to them because they both should know me.
