Hi all,

I work for a computer developer called Eutechnyx in the UK and we are currently in the middle of researching cars for a new game we are developing. We need information on many cars and one of them is the Dodge Viper SRT-10. As some of you will know there are only a handful of these cars in the UK due to not being offcially imported and our astronomical petrol prices. So as you wouls asume we are finding it hard to get hold of a SRT-10 to photograph.

This is where you come in. We are looking for any kind souls out there that would be willing to take some photos of their beloved car to be featured in our computer game. We would like good front, side and rear shots of the car with a few good closeups of the lights, badges, mirrors etc. Ideally these would be taken at a relateively high res, 1024x718x24 is fine, and with as least perspective as possible. To save you blocking up your e-mail account we can offer an FTP site where you can upload the photos quickly.

We cannot offer much except a credit in the end game credits and in the booklet.

So if there is anybody interested in helping out then please feel free to e-mail or MSN me and I can give you my work e-mail address so we can discuss it further. Please also check out our website address, www.eutechnyx.com to find out who we are.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to your replies... if I get any ;)

Alan :)

I'm in. Although mine may be a bit "wild" for an SRT-10 and you may want a more conventional color... :2tu: Check your e-mail!

it amazing how many software gaming companies in the UK have wanted the viper over the years, its usually the exhaust/engine note recording request in a sound booth, which a few of our members have used their vipers

I am very grateful to all car clubs and forums that have helped with reference material. But I have to say your club has been one of the quickest to offer help :2tu:

Neil UK I think its a case of it being a very unique car. Plus its actually an integral part to our game.

USA Too!

Sony/Playstation hired me and my 1st-release GTS back in 1996, for TEST DRIVE 5. My GTS made the cover, and the inside drive selections, as well as the credits and flyer. VCA too! A cop friend provided his cop-car as the pursuit. Another member provided a Ferrari, and a blown Camaro. Sony also hired an LA car for TestDrive 7

Funny Stories: I did not have a SAG (actors) card, so they only used my hands and driving....the face is a digitilly added, chisled SAG model who could not even drive a stick.

We filmed counter-course at PIR Portland. I normally do 2 mile laps in 88-90 seconds. We filmed at walking speed or LESS. Every 3 ft or so I had to steer lock-to-lock, so they could digitize and duplicate that moronic maneuver for game players to execute it if they tried. This lap took FOUR HOURS, a lap record at PIR I am not proud of !

Just curious but why not put in the RT/10 as well? Gran Turismo 1 and 2 where the only games ever to feature the car for any game console (Playstation). I'm sure your fimilar with Forza Motorsport (xbox).

They featured nearly all the best corvettes but only created 2 street vipers (GTS and SRT-10). They also added the comp coupe concept and the #23 and #25 SCCA Speed GT cars of Paul Mumford and Tommy Archer. The "tuner" model was the Venom 800 TT (the did mess up and left the stock rear end on).

Sure, coupes are more aerodynamic and the SRT-10 is the fastest convert, but at least the RT/10's would be less polys and run just as good as the two. ;)

Good luck with the game.

I guess it takes at least 12 months plus to get a game onto the market, so why not be up front and go with the new SRT coupe which has just hit the US streets, instead on the SRT convertible which came out years ago (2003) ???

Funnily enough just spoke to the publisher this morning and he wants the coupe in as well  Anybody got one to photograph?

We do not have say in what gets featured in the game. Love to have an RT-10 as well but we are limited to the amount of cars we can fit on a disc without having to sacrifice other things and plus we have to have certain cars in the game.
