I have never riden or drove a viper yet. I am planning on buying one in 2 years. Today I got a late christmas present from my boss. He took me down the strip here in las vegas, and rented me a viper for a day. I get to rent it Saturday and I am so pumped. I can't wait to get this thing in the desert!!

be careful! Don't get on it too much if you haven't had experience with it. Powerful car...but needs respect.

WIFE GIVING YOU A BAD TIME, DID YOU OVERCOME THAT OR JUST GET

Hey Doc, try dreamcarrentals.com across from the stratospehere.

They have fair pricing and a good selection of cars there.
My advice would be to go with the lowest mile GTS regardless of your personal preference for color.
I rented a 96 GTS a few months back and was disappointed in the handling and fit/finish on the car, which I at first attributed to build quality, and was beaten with ratten whips by this board until I spoke "it's a rental" in my sleep, it had 22K on it at the time.
I do recommend going to red rock canyon for wide open cruising, be aware that with the altitude the stock GTS is running approx.350 horse gross instead of 450 though, much quicker at sea level!
give a writeup when you get back, love to hear about it, your views, thoughts on the car, first impressions, etc!

The highway leading to Pahrump is known to be patrolled heavily according to my folks whom live out that way..

With all warnings heeded especially how fast this car can get out from under you;

I won't be a party pooper but I will suggest you bring a good detector with you and drive the area you plan to open it up in one direction (recon) first then turn around and go for it..

The thing about rear wheel drive.... even when the front tires are straight... the rear still want to climb around that weight they are pushin' ... have a blast.. no alcohol!! doc's orders.... as a former girlfriend said, "It's just a car." (My response, "You're just another chick." heh heh).
