What are the VCA plans for events etc. for 2014?

Let's stay on point. You made a disparaging remark about Mary. No one posted anything negative about Mary during the heat of the problems. In fact both factions complimented her efforts. So what is the specific factual basis for your remark? Trying to divert to Marv, Lee and Dan will not cut it.

So Bob, based on your explanation a couple of posts above, Mary was not brought up in the heat of the battle, but Chris Marshall was on an hourly basis with a lot of questions and allegations. If the Marshalls really cared about the club and its future, then Chris should have stepped down from the VPA/VCA and Mary continue to run Coast2Coast. Why make Mary step down since she had no allegations against her per your post above? They are not volunteers since they receive a pretty hefty paycheck between the two of them....so that argument holds no water. And as paid "private contractors" they have are not slaves to the club....they could leave at their discretion.

Right now there are 1890 people on this website. Is there room for two clubs, hell yes....just the number of people reading this shows interest. If anything, this will make membership grow since the "Viper" club issue is literally in the automotive media and not just a Viper issue anymore.

Nice try with the redirect. Not going to cut it anymore here. She knew exactly what was taking place. Now, the majority of the (remaining) members know whats required by the club Officers and *** to ATTEMPT a save of this club. So, how about you stay on point and quit regurgitating the same evasive rhetoric. The Marshal's need to go in order for this club's officers to show that they are on top of the situation and actually WANT to fix it. Deal with it, not point fingers and send nasty emails. Fix the friggin problem for once and things will fall in place.

The truth of the matter are that she and her family OWES the apology...not the other way around. Her husband spearheaded a smear campaign against Ralph Gilles in an attempt to maintain a stranglehold on this club. She was aware of this, but, as was posted by another member, did nothing. You can try to deny it or obfuscate the matter all you want. Everyone knows the facts, the letters have been posted here and elsewhere. The club officers and *** know what needs to be done. Wow, this is a fun thread. Mary has been great for the club, and Chris built a sizeable business from scratch, but let's look forward, there's enough finger pointing for all of us to go around, and as good as personal attacks make us feel, they get us nowhere.

We are in contract negotiations with 2 professional firms (that are not connected to any board member or employee, or contractor in any way) to take over club management functions. These organizations have the ability to take over fulfillment functions of the VPA, but this is phase 2, and will require a whole slew of tasks dedicated to just that.

I really do wonder why so much time and energy is being put in to destroy/disparage an organization, we have 2 clubs now, we have Vipers and Vettes too, let's move on, it's weird that I don't have time to go over to the other side and smear them... Do you guys go on the Vette forums and trash Vettes?

I will say that the "club with SRT support" is blatant propaganda. Both clubs have SRT support, as they both help promote the sale of SRT products. Chrysler is not stupid, they want to sell cars, not books. I would wager that I have more email in my inbox from Chrysler execs than "the club with SRT support". But please,I urge you to question the talking points that you are being fed (as you routinely do here).

But to get back on track, any feedback on VOIs or other events would be greatly appreciated.

Well judging from the responses by 2 of the National officers in regards to this club moving forward....Everyone can now see the direction you have decided to go. It only took the questions asked in the right way to get the true answers and feelings. I'm just a Viper owner, not a member of any club, and wanted to see if this Club's management was going to do what was asked of it as put forward and requested in Chrysler's letter. Saddens me to see that the officers would prefer to continue with the rhetoric and obfuscation that led us here.

btw Bob, I can't call it "my club" if I have never been a member right?. You can't see clearly while you to keep your head stuck in the sand.

Actually Bob, I have already helped. The direction that the officers are taking the club is the same path it has been on...the same lack of willingness to take responsibility for the actions of people only looking out for themselves. That is very apparent now. With the answers and attitude that you have shown towards my questions vis a vis Ralph Gilles, it's also apparent that you are happy with the status quo. I leave you to it then.

btw, there is a big difference between some guy up the food chain at Mopar and Ralph/ SRT's support/blessing. Anyone who thinks different is truly not facing the realities of the situation.

I want what is right for Fiat and Chrysler. As I have disclosed previously, I am a shareholder of Fiat. If they do well, SRT does well. If they do not do well, SRT will cease to exist. Ralph knows this. He also knows that Fiat, Chrysler and SRT must stay above the fray regardless of any personal feelings he may or may not have. How do I know this? Because he told me himself. Yes. He and I are friends as difficult as that may be for you to understand.

Bird325.... That is an excellent post. I have been shooting back at a number of these negative, disparaging, and ridiculous attacks on individuals. Mary is a great person. I cannot imagine the hours she has spent on behalf of the members of the VCA.

Christmas and the New Year are almost upon us. Time to look forward rather than dwell in the past. I wish the best to all viper owners on the upcoming year!
