I have a 2001 RT-10.. on the inside of the trunk is a little rip cord handle and cable!

On the handle is a photo of what looks like a guy runnig away!!

Does the car EXPLODE like THE JAMES BOND 007 CAR?

I am CALLING my EX-WIFE to come over and have her pull the handle!

NAAH! I LIKE THE CAR TO MUCH..

You must be out of your MIND!

If you think that I am going to crawl into the trunk of my Viper to test the little pull handle!

But it was a good idea!

I'll have my EX-WIFE Crawl in the trunk!!!

Maybe the little cable will break....

Yes it is a EMERGENCY Trunk release! In case you lock your self in the trunk? The Feds made all the car companies install them two years ago. So make sure when you kidnap someone that their hands are tied good.

Another ridiculous government requirement (law) that we all pay for. Perhaps there's an epidemic of people getting locked in trunks, particularly ones the size of the RT/10 trunk. The only time I ever heard of somebody getting locked in a trunk they already had a bullet in them.

GM came up with this joke of a feature about ten years ago. Since they started it and got it into production they lobbied the government to make it a law. Thereby forcing the other car companies to scramble and invest time and money to get it in their cars, rather than investing that time and money into something more worthwhile. Sigh...the games car companies play.

Another reason why GM can kiss my…

These handles should make installing a remote trunk release much easier. Judging by the constrtuction I bet the handle and R+D to design such a technical device must add at least 1$ to the cost of the car. Dam# , if they hadn't spent all their time on this we all could have had cupholders!
