Is it possible? Anyone have it done?
it would be the best of both worlds

Certainly would be quite interesting, especially if it is done cleanly.

Like the C-3 Vettes, yup it would be sweet. I've always thought the hard tops on the RT/10 looked like a toupee.

Sad thing is, I don't think there's any steel structure in the roof/hatch/spoiler assembly. You'd need a roll cage from front to back....

well, I spoke to autoform several times about a little different twist. I have a rt and wanted a more conventional fold out convertible top that could fold in and be concealed sort of kie the vette design. They made one proto type about a year or so ago but said the cost was prohibitive..about 11,000.00. Its on their website. They said that they are still thinking about it as is Gennnadi another concept car designer.

That would be AWESOME! I'd be a happy man! I'd bet it could be done, but it would cost a fortune.

One of the two cars, the one that was the actual GTS pace car for '96, had a pop out sunroof panel(body color) I believe it was the only one made. For photographic purposes.

I've always thought the hard tops on the RT/10 looked like a toupee.

If you look at the description for the replacement part, it's actually referred to as a "toupette".
