Questions from a newbie!
I'm looking for a 1996 or 1997 Blue/white with under 14K miles. I see prices ranging from $42K to $60K with miles ranging from 2K up. I have check the VCA classifieds, Dupont, dealer VCA sponsors, Ebay etc. Should a 96 or 97 be the same price for the same miles?
I realize there are many factors in the price regarding tires, body condition warranty, mods etc.

My perfect car would be a blue/white 1996 with 10K miles, some extended warranty remaining, decent tires, stock, and very clean. Can I resonably find this car for $45K?

Thanks.

Well my answer is below, but I just looked at the VCA classifieds and there are several that are close to your requirements. Check the classifieds.

$45,000 under 10k miles with warranty....probably not....at least it would be rare.

You're paying a premium for the blue/white color combo. If your patient, you may be able to get one for your price, but do your homework on the car's history. Otherwise, your more than likely going to have to bump up your set purchase price or settle for a higher mile car. Good luck. Best color combo- IMO!

I just purchased a 96 GTS from Mike @ Ringgold and I felt for the mileage and shape it was a great price. Give Mike a call as he was easy to work with.

I bought a stock 97 blue/white in August with a little less than 6000 miles for $40,000. The guy wanted to get rid of it quickly to pay for part of his daughter's $100,000 wedding!

Blue and White 96 will do nothing but go up. Your dreamin if you think the first year car of the coupe will not out perform other GTS versions. If not this year it's a sure bet for the future.

Remember--- those of us that got the first year GTS's are/were fanatics. If I sell mine, there is a TON of stuff to go with it shuch as extra wheels, tires, original parts that were replaced, pictures, posters, models, t-shirts and so on. I even have an Indy Ram to go with mine. Blue/white 96/97 cars will always attract more of a crowd than most ANY of the other years. Best of luck. I have 30K on my car. It's not perfect, but "stuff" is easily fixable. Look for an owner that cared for his car. I suggest you disregard the mileage thing. You have no idea how it was stored for all these years.
