Your car should sell quickly at that price. I listed my 97 with minor damage history, 44k miles and $15k in mods for $39k and sold it for $37k in August. By the way, it looks like you have the 50/50 bar colored GTS orange/white. I think we Colorado boys caravaned with you from Richfield Utah for 100 miles on the way back from VOI9. I had the blue/white 97 with Henne$$ey wing.

If this title is not an R title it has been "washed" from the state to state transfer. Anyway you slice it, not cool downplaying the details of the car Matt. Anyone else wishing to hear more on this can visit this thread on the Alley. Quite interesting reading.
97' Viper GTS B/W $36,500 - Viper Alley - Dodge Viper Forum

I am sorry everyone that Josh has brought this over to this sit. He seems to not understand what title I have and is trying to hurt me for some reason. He is not and never has been interested in buying the car so I don't understand his intentions.

The car has been damaged like I said and I do have a Clear MN title for the car.

Please do read the tread he posted so everyone can see how he has attacked me for telling the truth about the call all along.

Once agian I am sorry he has started it at this web site also.

Yes please read the thread over at the alley. No reason to sling the mud here as well. I honestly never meant this man any ill will regarding his sale and anyone that reads the alley link I posted can clearly see that it was Matts STILL dishonest behavior which caused me to look out for fellow viper owners.

He does that a lot. He doesn't have anything to gain other than to sling mud around at people. It's a sad life. I think he has close to 5,000 posts over there and if you look at them, they are all pretty worthless. I don't think he's made a positive contribution to society as of yet... He is a big part part of the reason I don't hang around those foul-mouthed primadonnas. He has a car @ UGR so all he does is nut-swing for them. yet he thinks it is his g-d given right to comment on _everything_ and _anything_ that is posted as if his quantity of content can make up for the ignorance. So far it isn't working.

BTW - PM me when you have a moment and we can talk about your car. I may have a buyer for you...

You guys here should know that my intentions were to never throw a wrench into Dr. Suess for sale thread. I genuinely wished him the best of luck and even went as far as commend him on his honesty of disclosing "a minor accident" from the get go. What I obviously did not know of at that time is how the carfax read. I had a close friend that wishes to remain anonymous that showed great interest in buying this vehicle from Matt given his description. Of course prior to any educated buyer going forward my friend asked for the VIN to run a vehicle history check. The seller never eluded to the vehicle having any salvage history and maintained he held a clean title and his GTS was only involved in a minor accident scraping the one panel. Turns out his minor accident was hitting a concrete barrier! and according to carfax the vehicle sustained enough damage as a result of this accident to be issued a JUNK title. A far cry from what Matt is describing here.

Carfax defines a vehicle obtaining JUNK title status by sustaining over 75% cost damages. Matt was asked MANY times by me in a respectful way to clarify whether this vehicle had salvage title history. (Realize that salvage/junk are synonymous according to carfax). Every time I questioned him he evaded the question and replied the same way every time. He repeatedly admitted to holding a CLEAR title and the vehicle had a history of the damages he described earlier. I take no joy in throwing a mans face in the mud but Matt was very willing to accept a deposit from my friend to hold the vehicle from others while the time to do this vehicle check took place. Thankfully these funds never swapped persons. Who knows what kind of mess my buddy would have been in once this guy Matt was holding this guys money on deposit on a vehicle clearly not described as such. Matt was given every chance in the world to come clean on the vehicles history to us all. I basically spelled it out to him that I was aware of the vehicle report and was hoping he wouldnt make me take it to the level I had. When I saw that Matt wasn't willing to reveal publicly of the real status of his vehicles history I figured I would do whatever anyone else here with a conscience would do for any other fellow viper owner.

Going over to the VCA this morning to see how that thread progressed after me posting this vipers REAL history I can see Matt is still busy trying to pull the wool over the issue here. His excuses for forgetting the vehicles true history is ridiculously laughable. How many of you other viper owners would happen to FORGET you had a major accident with your car and the state it was registered in ISSUED IT A JUNK TITLE? Does that even sound plausible to any one? NO! I hope now Matt gives his fellow viper owners a little more respect when posting something up for sale. This is a tight knit arena of owners for the most part.

The sad part here is that I am sure, without even seeing the pics that Matt's GTS probably looks decent today. It however has no merit here. The car has salvage/junk title history. Anyway Matt tries to down play it the title was changed by the state from a clean one to a junk one. After being repaired the vehicle transferred ownership into a new state and the title had been reconstructed to what Matt refers to today as being clean. Anyone looking to buy vehicles of these caliber are not viewing this car as a clean title car like Matt does. It is a salvage history vehicle and he needs to be upfront and honest in telling people this information before they have to find out (if lucky) on their own the way a friend of mine did.

This has nothing to do with my vehicle or my choice in tuner Joseph. It has everything to do with a dishonest seller. I am sure any decision you or your buyer makes Joseph on giving this guy an offer is going to take into account the junk title history rather than the minor accident which Matt's pictures showed repaired so nicely. If you don't agree with me on that, you are a liar as well. In fact your claims to running an undocumented 184 mph in the quarter mile already pretty much proves the latter. See you around JID:rolaugh:

A very interesting read at the alley on a cold winter morning in Ohio. I guess the moral of the story is never, ever buy a used car without running a Carfax--if it would upset you later to find the car had a salvage title history.

Stay on topic here Joseph or start a new thread in which I will gladly discuss the finer points to the rest here on why you are a liar as well. :D
For the record JID, it was YOU, not me, or anyone else that felt compelled to share that 184 bit of information with "my kind". So there is another mistruth from the JID.

Matt, please do the right thing and at least refund my $500 deposit. I am out $180 in a cancelled flight and out taking two days off work. After conferring with my legal counsel, the status of the vehicles title is other than what was presented in our agreement. You agreed to release my deposit once the vehicle is sold but the vehicle cannot be sold until my deposit is released in such circumstances. I have no doubt you are a good person so i am confident you will do the right thing in this matter. I will promptly post when the deposit has been refunded and wish you the best on your sale. Thanks in advance, take care

Anyone think this guy isn't glad he know knows the truth? Perhaps he rather of taken the sellers "good" word on it and found out later:confused: . I hope he finally does do the right thing and you get your money back ASAP. I would also hope he did the right thing and refunded you the expenses you lost as a result of the new findings.

Oh boy this just got really interesting.
Why the hell can't your deposit be refunded till he sells the vehicle? That could be months.

Maybe some others who have dealt with Matt will chime in. I am one of them. I did look at this car earlier in this year when I was looking to purchase my first Viper. Matt was upfront about the damage and the title. I never had an issue. I understood how to read a carfax report. This car just wasn't for me.

In fact, Matt had another car he was considering buying to fix up and sell. That car was in an accident that the previous owner had paid cash to fix so the title would be clean. Matt told me about the accident and sent pictures. If he hadn't, I never would have known it had been in an accident nor would any other buyer. Some sellers wouldn't have said a thing. Matt was upfront about every detail.

Lastly, for those of you who don't know Matt, he is currently helping a few people who bought Vipers from him but are now going through rough financial times due to the economy. He doesn't have to but he does. That is Matt.

Goldlifter has absolutely nothing to worry about. Matt is a stand up guy.

Thanks for clearing that up. You know what. I am a decent guy too. Never in all the years have I took something from another person that wasn't mine. BUT, in the event I do one day take something not my own, do I not deserve to be called a thief for doing so? You obviously didn't read the thread on the alley post for post.

Who has the time to **** through all of the garbage that you stir up on the alley? There is a reason people don't go there... and you are part of that reason!

5 pages of post-for-post... don't you have a job or something that you _should_ be doing? Or don't 16 year old kids have jobs these days?

:dunno:

Kinda like racing... I could have my car together for this weekend but instead of putting in the effort to be down in FL to hang out with your kind I'd rather go to some xmas parties and a hockey game. It's alley-ites that make corvette owners seem nice!
