I saw Jason Heffner's car with these, and it did look better lowered an inch.

How hard are they to install? Do I have to have an alignment after they are installed?

Look like an alignment is a must after the install but is the install something that can be done at home or should it be left to a shop? What cost can I expect to pay for a typical install?

Does 2 hours at a local dealer sound reasonable? I think they are saying about $170.00

You can do the install, if you trust yourself with a spring compressor..It's really quite easy getting shock/springs on/off the car...Otherwise you could pull the suspension, and run it up to a local shop to get the springs pressed off/on...then re-install them yourself...Top bolts on the springs are torqued to 100 ft lbs, bottom bolts are torqued to 135 ft lbs...

Two hours is reasonable for the alignment, and if they haven't aligned too many vipers, it will probably take them longer anyway...

Snake Bitten...thanks for the info. I'm going to have to check to see what the dealer is doing for the 2 hours. I think it's just for the springs install and it doesn't include the alignment.
