I rembered a thread a LONG time ago about various quotes people have said about the viper. Some from "Car and Driver" and things like that. anyone know where that thread is? I couldn't find it.

This is not as good as some but I liked it enough to make it my personalized license plate. I gave my friend Brian a ride in the car the first week I got it. I pulled out on the 2 lane highway near my house and floored it. As we passed the local cemetary at about 90 mph I got the front tires in some ruts in the road (from studded tires) and the car went kinda sideways and headed towards the oncoming traffic. Luckily I got it under control and slowed down. Brian looked at me, his eyes as big as softballs, and said " This SOB is FERAL!!!!!!!" Hence my plates.

After buying my 1998 GTS, I've collected 50 or so car magazines from 1989 forward that contain Viper-related articles, plus I have two article-compilations that Brooklands Books put out. In all that reading, I "think" this one is my favorite quote (from Mark Graham, in Car Magazine, in a "Brit drives a Viper in America" type of article)-- "It fried me in the LA rush-hour, scared me half to death in the wet darkness, p*ssed its coolant onto the floor at regular intervals, but I wouldn't have swapped it for the world. A shallow man in a flawed car, maybe, but as far as non-Disney trips in America go, this is surely one of the funkiest."
