What kind of headers for my supercharged GTS

Car has a built motor with the DLM paxton kit pushing about 9psi. Has fuel to support the car along with drivetrain, however it has stock headers (has corsa cat back)

Whats a good set of headers for my car? How much HP/TQ would i be looking at? Currently its sitting right around 700rwhp

id always tell you to talk to doug but i have the bellangers and love them. id also try a set of M&M headers too.

If you can find a set of TNT or HMS 1 3/4" (5 into 1) headers, those would be the best to go with for max power. If you go with Balengers, cut out the pickle for better airflow at the higher RPMs.

Are most of the headers for a gen 1 and 2 the 5 individual pipes to the collectors? Is there an easy way to figure out what pipe goes where?

My B&B headers worked well with S/C setup. They are 1 3/4" 5 into 1 design just like the HMS headers.

With superchargers the best policy is BIG pipes. Sean Roe told me that if I installed my Belangers with the pickles I could expect 20rwhp LESS than the stock headers! I torched out the pickles. The Belangers are good headers, but NO PICKLES for Forced Induction engines. I have TNTs on my Sapphire GTS with Roe.

What have you got done to your engine that the Paxton makes that much HP with 9psi?

I have Belanger headers with a Roe supercharger what are the pickles you are talking about. Also where are they located in the headers. I just happen to have my headers off.

I would go with a staight through design of 1 3/4" merge collector 5 to 1. Your V10 with S/C installed moves a high volume of air. You can really improve your TRQ & HP numbers with this type of bolt on.

Both our 5 pound Roe cars are pickled. 593HP/636TQ is pretty much all you're going to get out of a 5 pounder...although the dyno guy told me I would likely have touched 600 if I hadn't shut him down at 5800 RPM.

I have 85K miles on one set of the Bellangers. .....Tightened a couple header bolts once about 30,000 miles ago. That's it.

I don't think Lou Bellanger agrees with the pickle removal thing, but it's above my pay grade to dispute anyone who says it will gain you power. All I know is my numbers above...pretty darn good.

I've posted pickle pics on other threads. If you look in every collector you'll see a crimped 1" tube in the middle of the collectors. If you don't see the pickles, you have the "non-pickled" headers.

Superchargers want NO restriction expecially on the exhaust side. Sean Roe said 20rwhp "less than stock headers". Not much room for 50% more air flow than stock engine. Massive increase in midrange air exhausted from a Roe supercharger. Easy to see restriction in the collector. I realise that it's not really a 50% restriction, it just looks like it, lol.

Maybe pick up that used set of SVSi headers advertised a couple weeks back.

They have Burns collectors that are well respected.

Don't they have a smaller diamter tube ? If so. That's why its not for FI
