Adam,

While just an opinion, I'm sure if you bought any name brand stuff that would be fine, I'm sure the mopar stuff is just one of those brands with a different label. Plus they'll probably give you a sticker to put on that racey wing of yours.

I believe our resident diety of fluids, Tom, has suggested that cold weather power steering fluid (Dodge has one for the Neon that I am told is is fine for the Viper) is less viscous and may reduce some of the strain on the Viper's power steering pump. Road course drivers blow power steering pumps with some regularity. Tom ?

The Mopar-Neon Cold Climate PSF is a semi-synthetic formulated to a lower viscosity, better low temperature properties, less volatility, and improved wear protection. It can handle both the high temperatures and low temperatures better and is OEM-tested. Also available is a GM Cold Climate PSF, same attributes.

BTW, power steering fluid has a higher level of anti-wear additive than automatic transmission fluid, so they are a little different.

Deity? Just my job...

There is a Mopar part number, but I don't have it handy. The GM guys have the same fluid. It's their Power Steering Fluid - Cold Climate, PN 12345866, comes in 16oz bottles.

Thanks, Tom
That'll work. (Kind of like those GM airbox clips).
