What pressure to put in Club Slicks?

I have two 17" rear Michelin Club Slicks I'm putting on extra rims today. I'm in Michigan so I won't be able to use them for at least a month. They are for Milan dragstrip and I know they aren't the best drag tire but this saves me from frying my street tires. What pressure should I put in them? I'm going to store in bags downstairs until I get to use them.

Also, dumb question but there isn't a direction to mount them, right? There obviously isn't tread to follow but there are lines on the inside of the tire that "might" need to go in a certain direction??

I'd start them around 27 psi and work down from there based on your 60' times. They respond well to heat, so work the water box. It's probably a good idea to put a mark on the sidewall next to the valve core to make sure they aren't slipping on the rim.

Both the barcode tags should face the same direction, but I'll have to check my tire files to see whether that's left or right.

The bar code labels face the left side of the car at the back. So, one mounts inboard, the other faces outboard on the rims.

THANKS. They mounted them with both barcodes in claiming no difference. Do you think I should ask them to switch the left rear?

GTS Dean or anyone, Discount Tire will remount the tire for free if I bring in something from Michelin that states they need to be mounted with bartags facing left from rear. Can anyone fax this to me? I have both tags facing in.

What kind of traction are you getting out of these? How are they compared to drag radials? Does anyone have any good 60' times with them? They been out for about 8 months and i havent't heard anything about them. I have a set of those and I just purchased the new BFG drag radial 345's and I am wondering what is going to give me more traction at the drag strip.

Those BFG's look funky! No tread in the middle of the tire. Does anyone know what top speed is safe on these?
Thanks

I haven't used them...ended up mounting the bartags both inside and it looks like I needed to mount the left one on the outside.
