I have only one advise to give when shopping for the supercharger: Don't try to save money. Installation is very easy. Some shops will offer you free installation others not. What is the most important is the time that they will take to tune your supercharger (on dyno and on street). I can tell you that maybe as much as 6 out of 10 superchargers are poorly tuned ....

First gen 1 viper i had was DLM supercharged. He uses a paxton charger with a front mount intercooler but you can buy them with air to water now. EXCELLENT SYSTEM.The hp and tq on gen 1's make tons of power with the intercooler and blower. Most fun car you can build are supercharged gen 1
but you cant use the factory head gaskets!!! i dont know if cometic makes them so you may have to spend the extra $ and buy factory new ones.

I'm still looking a Supercharger for my Gen 1 too.
Have not made my mind yet...
I had Chuck Tator replace the old headgaskets, would these new ones still be classified as " can't use". Or are you referring to the old rotten ones?

One of the really good points of the Roe S/C is you can road race with very easily. It develops power and torque at low RPMs and thus it will not get as hot or as ******* our engine. Seeing as your in Texas you should talk to David Weaver.

A 12 Volt DC Supercharger works fine as look as its used with an AC power inverter. 300 Watts works perfect!

Thanks Adam!
I loved the vicious while your -96 had.
I wish (being a poser and noise maker), that the Roe would have it too.
In that case it would be a simple choise. :D

David will treat you right. If you want to go turbo, I'd talk to RSI in Houston (expect 2X$$$), but 2X HP gain.

definitely DLM for a SC set-up. If you want the most supercharged power, that is. 5 years and counting on my DLM set-up...

and DLM has by far THE best support of anyone out there.

Both are great systems. From what I've read the Roe is truly a bolt on. The Paxton, done right, should have a tuner install it...

If you want serious POWER go with the Paxton. DLM has great customer support and he builds them to last a looong time. The Paxton doesn't require multiple power adders for more power, just reinforce the engine and turn it up and tune.... Always look toward the future because once you get 600 or so rwhp, you'll want MORE... in about 30 days. LOL!!!!!!

I'm going on 50k miles with easily over 800 at the rear and it's my daily.. :2tu: :2tu:

For a centrifical....do a DLM ONLY....not the factory Paxton DIY. For folks like me with less $$$ the Roe is the way to go.

The Roe also does not need "EXTRA" power adders to outrun other cars* even with a STOCK motor For example: *Geralds car.... :headbang:

Those guys don't even want to talk about autocrossing :D
