MATT: YOUR NEW INTERIOR LOOKS GREAT! DODGE SHOULD HAVE DONE THE INTERIORS IN BLACK IN THE FIRST PLACE. LOOKS LIKE A JOB WELL DONE.

Thanks everyone!!!

Vip-RT10, that piece below the ingnition is a fire extinguisher. There'e also one in the hood compartment. To get it to work, there's a pull switch inside the ashtray compartment. The guy I bought it from had it put in so I left it for a just in case scenario. The extinguisher itself is in the trunk. I also have the five point harnesses installed which you can't see.

Thanks, Rob! The dash is a 96 dash and the seats are also from a 96. The seats are knuckle busters and back breakers to put in! I just put my new pedals on today but the pics will have to wait till later because one of the pedals hole was too big and the screw went right through it.

It looked so good that I ordered all the same pieces, in black, for my 94 R/T. John at Parts Rack says it was all shipped on Feb 22. I still haven't received it. He says he was out of town, I wasn't, I was sitting here waiting. Jeez.
I paid $326 for the dash, $59ea for the latch surrounds, $89 for the radio surround and $25 to s/h/i. I received the invoice on 15 February and I still don't have my parts.

Joe,

Give Jon a call - 360.837.3937- he will take care of you. He just got back in town today and I just talked to him.

I have ordered and received over $7,000 worth of parts from Jon over the past 4 months and have never had a problem.

IT REALLY LOOKS NICE

I SAW A PICTURE IN THE 94 RT/10 DEALER DATA BOOK WITH A TOTALLY BLACK INTERIOR. I WONDER WHY THEY DIDN'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS?

VIPERINTERIORBLACK2.jpg

I WAS ALSO WONDERING WHY YOU DIDN'T JUST PAINT YOUR EXISTING ONE? HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS?

RANDY

Your black and gray combo's look great !
I would imagine that the new stock pieces also will be
easily scratched, so I am thinking that a sprayed on enamel
finish might be the way to go.
But, just for fun, I wonder what the same '96 dash piece
would be available from the dealer ?
Mr. Tator ?

Again, thanks everyone!

Anthony-I am going to leave the grey as is. For me right now it's the perfect color combo. Plus, my next step is side pipe covers and then I go back to the motor!

Randy-It was just about as cheap to buy a new 96 dash as it would've been to paint the old one. Plus, like Sean Roe said, no down time.

Robert-What does this quote mean? "I wonder what the same '96 dash peice would be available from the dealer?"

Matt,

I think he's curious if the price would be less buying direct through a dealer than the $533 + shipping Joe117 paid going through Parts Rack.

Those are some great prices Chuck.
For those that are not aware, that's about the same deal an independent shop gets if they do regular business with a factory dealer. Heck, free shipping too?! You could have saved someone about $120.
The savings on one purchase can cover the cost of VCA membership!
