Isn't it correct that no supercharged only car has cracked the 9 second barrier without nitrous?

Both DLM and Heffner cars are on the verge of 9's and haven't some ROE s/c'***** 10.3 and 10.4. Pretty impressive for the ROE setup since it is down 150 or more hp to the other guys.

Is it the timing of the torque and when it is delivered to the wheels that is the answer? Now with the Utahviper at over 700 rwhp, will that car be the 1st?

Just curious and will we see this occur at the V-10 Nationals :usa:

I spoke to Doug the other day about that same subject since I hired him to install supercharger, intercooler, fuel cell..etc.. and he said to me and I quote, " With as many cars that I'm doing in here that is not his priorty right now simply because hes just delivering powerful steet racers that are reliable, If I was only concerned with breaking 9 sec. barrier that I could".

Thanks for the correction. I wasn't sure if one had with nitrous.

So why not. They have just as much power as the NA cars. Is it the curves these monters are producing. To much torque to fast or something else. :usa:

I think it does with that the people WITH s/c cars are just hitting the track with what they have + slicks. NO suspension, sway bar delete, etc etc, etc. But lets see who the first one is..!

Gerald, that has been my thought as well. These cars don't transfer weight stock, like others can.

I think with the right suspension a s/c car could do it easily with alot less hp to worry about.

That would be awesome David. This event would be the perfect place for that to occur. :usa:

I can't believe no DLM s/c car has run 9's. He builds some rediculously powerful cars, as do some other s/c tuners. There is a DLM ACR that ran 10.80 @ 137 on stock 335 Pilots. I would think slicks on one of the many 1000hp cars would net a 9 sec pass for sure. I bet you see some at the Nat's. My money is on Roof.

No Spray here! Just pure BOOST! Let me just say something with out saying nothing! Well I better wait.

There will be some blower cars joining the ranks of the elite 9 second VIPERS

You never know it might have already, (Well I better wait)

Easy answer..........the first one to get the "biggest fistful" of dollars. Money buys speed.

That ain't no lie!
The tuners are out there, and they're thinking: "Show me the money, and I'll show you a 9 second Viper." Heh-heh.
