....for a '94 RT with 30k miles, a/c, hardtop, slider windows, '98 wheels, fancy stereo, and warranty? Just curious...

Seems a bit low guys, yeah economy is down, but even saw a salvaged 95 with 33K miles go for $30K. I would guess $30-$35K. MHO.

30k miles? No more than 28k.

Why? Cause you can get em all day long for that price.

My friend sold his 95 with over 50k miles for $30k and it was really beat up! That's a car that you could put in the local paper and sell. It's a VIPER, and it's not too too expensive. Most people don't know what they're worth. You just have to find the right guy.

You guys are killing me.... Where the heck does one find deals like that (cars in the sub $30k range)? Seriously! I mean, I'd jump right now on a deal like that, but I don't see anything ever under, say, $38k. Certainly no one on this board ever asks for anything below that. So really, point me to those deals, guys! I'd quite willingly pay a finder's fee for the real deal...

Usually the price in the ad is the "asking" price. Nuff said.

Also, check out how many ads there are for used Vipers on just VCA alone... let alone what you can find on other boards and Ebay? Seems to be no shortage of supply.. Also, check out how long some of those ads have been running for...

You should be able to take these facts and re-think your purchasing strategy. :)

Keep in mind proximity to the car plays a big role as well. When I was looking, I only wanted to buy something I could see and drive and if possible drive home. I couldn't find anything around here - within an hour or two. Shipping a car is a royal pain. Coast to coast enclosed will add another $1,500+ to the sale.

Any first gen car under 35K is suspect. Most first gen rt/10's cars worth buying are in the 35-40+ range.

Prices are down but not that much.

I've got to agree with Frank -- buying a car long distance is a pain in the butt. If you can find a car you like within a day's drive, it may be worth paying $1500-2000 more for that car rather than dealing with a long-distance inspection, transport, etc.
