I have an early '96 GTS and it does not have a locking glove box. I was at a dealer yesterday and saw a 2002 GTS with a locking glove box. What year Vipers do have a locking glovebox?

Sean I think they started it in 97. But you can always call MGW and buy theirs, which comes with your color choice Viper snake, professionally molded on. It's an awesome purchase! Heres the link...

I have been thinking about getting one of the MGW gloveboxes for awhile now. I just visited their website again and from the picture they have it appears that it does not come with a latch and I assume you remove your stock latch from the glovebox and put it on the MGW glovebox. This would not help the fact that I don't have a locking latch to begin with.

For those of you with a locking glovebox, is the a seperate key for it or does it use the ignition key? Also, I did a search and it said that the Viper uses the same locking glovebox latch as a Dodge Caravan. Is this true? I guess I could just order one from a Caravan and put it on the Viper or can I order one for a Viper as a seperate part. It seems like most parts for the Viper come as a whole subassembly and you can't buy them as individual parts however.
