I'm looking to go in a different direction with my life, and I'm thinking about selling my viper to use for a down payment on my first house. I really got my moneys worth and I think its time to move on.

I have a 1999 Silver RT/10 with hardtop and softtop, 26000 miles, new rear tires (1500 miles) and 6000 miles on fronts. No paint work, except repainted side sills 3000 miles ago (they were yellowing). Took good care of the car, but I just never drive it anymore and am thinking of selling. Pretty much stock, I have smooth tubes and filters, I think thats all.

Whats a really fair price for this? I hate screwing around selling and buying cars, I just like to decide whats right, stick to it, and sell it fair. I want to post it for the right price, instead of asking too much like many sellers do and then negotiate downward.

I know this board sees a ton of this, I apologize for cluttering.

I have the practical side sometimes tells me to sell my Viper and save money. I sold my '94 300ZX TT that I had for three years and was an ever day driver (decided to sell to save towards a house). It was a great car and at times I miss it like a child. After you sell you realize what you are missing. Just remember if you sell the Viper you will probably never own another one and you will be telling others "remember when" and "I owned a Viper once."
If you are really want to sell list on Autotrader.com or Ebay. You can get an idea of what they are selling for by watching these listing. Edmunds.com can give you idea of the national selling price, but prices can be all over the place for a Viper. I bought my '98 silver GTS with 19K miles for $38,000 in December which was a very good price when I made the deal in October (waited two months for title).

PSilverGTS - that is a good price, assuming the car was in pretty good shape!
Congrats and welcome!
ChrisXoxide - good luck selling the car and buying a house.

Thanks XS TORQ. The Viper was in great shape. Needs just minor things: drivers side door hinge spring is broke, (chip corner of the door), already replace front tires and air filters, soon to replace back brakes and diff fluid.
