You wernt spot on anything tucker. Like I said you are one of the main ones belittling our cars value. You can see nine 08 vipers sell for 57-65k
And then see one sell for 53k. You will then post up and say you can get clean title 08s with low miles for low 50s all day.

Show me any post stating anything remotely resembling your babble, and stop watering Malu's thread down. I don't discuss titles, period. Mileage affects value just as the OP knows, and I haven't said anything in regard to his car's value.

It is you with the higher mileage car that has been painted on multiple times with a once hurt motor that has more helmet cam footage of it being flogged than Jenna Jameson that gets out of shape when someone states anything to do with a car's value. A Hawaiian's perspective of the US exotic car market is skewed, and yours is off the mainland.

Viper value gets affected a lot due to mileage more so than your average day to day trucks or cars. I see early Gen 3 sold for low 30's due to mileage (including mine) while gen 3 under 5k same car sells for 45k or higher.

The last two days have been eye opening to say the least. Considering keeping the car and putting it on eBay for BIN at $50k and a low $40k reserve when spring comes around. The Gen V thing really screwed me over, as I don't want to be Viper-less, and I can't stop enjoying the car. Drove it to work in 25F weather today, and still loving it. Gonna pick up some new tires, do the brake/clutch/trans/diff service, and make sure my rotors/pads are in good shape. No complaints other than that, so thanks guys!

Well I went through the sale of a Viper with High mileage.

I started in Aug with a reasonable 59K for the Viper with 24K miles. I got no response.

I dropped it to 56K and got no response.

I posted it on FleBay a few times at 56 and 54 and the highest bids were in the 47-48 range.

I reposted the Viper here at $52K and finally had some interest.

I am reporting today that the car sold yesterday, just under $50K. My wifes new Bimmer shows up for Xmas, and I really needed to unload the Viper.

I would say good luck on a sale now in the winter and at that mileage I wouldn't expect anything better than the upper 40's.

color was the only reason that car was for sale so long.

I would be happy with upper $40's. I know it won't pull $50k, but I do have a GTS Blue with white stripe car, which is a little more desirable than a Venom red, or solid red car. I don't mean that offensively, but just saying that those cars typically aren't bringing in the high end of sale prices. Not to mention, the car has an extended max care warranty. If someone wanted a car that gets a lot of attention, has a lot of performance, is reliable, and practically worry free to acutally DRIVE, then this is the best value out there.

This is the car we're talking about ?

Regarding the heels, I am probably not like most Viper owners you know. The car stays outside in the rain/snow, is driven in rush hour traffic about 50 miles a day, street raced, auto-x'ed, 1/4 mi drag raced, taken to road courses, used for nights on the town, etc. Can't say I've ever enjoyed a car as much as I have this car, and she's about to click 47,000 miles.

Both models seemed to like the Viper a lot, but I never asked which was their favorite. I'll just assume they liked mine the best :D

Not sure if this will keep the thread Semi-NWS anymore, lol.

24k is "high mileage"??? What is this , Lambo-Land? OK, 8k miles a year is more than I drive mine, but sheesh. I was looking at some '07 Porsche Caymans last winter and the mileage standards were much higher, so we must be firmly in exotic territory with the Viper. Hate having that voice in the back of yer brain saying "don't drive the Viper unless you can really enjoy it". Or else the mileage police will bust you.
Yukk.

HOT pics w/ the models, BTW. Grazie.

I agree with Sonoman. Miles dont mean crap except that there is a very happy owner actually enjoying his depreciating investment. I drive mine every chance I get(which aint alot) :(

Yep, that would be her. I'll even allow test rides, but if you throw a rod in her, you buy it...

Just a heads up, ran the car to the Dodge dealer yesterday, and the guy said he's give me $45k trade-in on the car right there. The car was filthy from driving in the rain for a while, so he couldn't see how good the condition of the car is in. Said he'd like to give more, but the car wouldn't book out, since nothing like it has passed through auction to compare. Private party should easily be $50k he said once it's cleaned up, just as an FYI to everyone that was asking via PM. No the car isn't for sale yet, just curious on how it would do :D

Trade in on what ? Trade-in values fluctuate with the price of the car you are purchasing. Not saying your car isn't worth that but trade-in values are affected by the overall deal.

I didn't go in trying to buy anything/negotiate, went and asked what the trade-in value of my car is. He had a VOI9 car there with 28,000 miles he had listed for $52k online, and he told me what he had invested in that as well. Said if he was going to make an offer on my car, it would be for $45,000.
