WHATS DIFFERENT BETWEEN 03 AND 04

Harmonic balancer bolt design, stronger pin in the differential, and both of these changes are failures, to say the least.
Not much else, that is noticable.
I'm sure there were some good technical improvements to the car.
03 had there share of problems as well as 04's Not bad for such a new breed of car, as the SRT is.

Agree, Skip!! And before anyone jumps on Vipers or D-C, let me point out that my 2002 Lease-a-Cadillac-DeVille (GM FLAGSHIP ???)has a FEW problems. As of May 2004, I downloaded a total of 21 pages of TSB's (18) and Recalls (3) from NHTSA site (Office of Defects Investigation).
So, while there may be a couple of issues with a SRT-10, they are WAY OFF of GM's stellar pace.

Yes it's really amazing how many cars that are no more than inavations of the last model are full of problems. The Viper is pretty reliable. Seems like when we read about all the little problems with the car on this site, we forget how many thousands of them are trouble free.
No one hardly gets on the board and reports no problems this month. We only hear when something goes wrong. The funny thing about it is, when there is a problem, it's seems to be something that should have never happened.
What's up with Cadi, Deville, much the same car as it's been for a dozen years.

Major change is, 03 comes with black brakes and 04 has red. 04 comes with boot cover for closed top, and a nice trunk kit. Those items are optional with 03.
Car is essentially the same. Problems mentioned above affect only about 1% of production, and are well covered by warranty.
