I have to sell the '06 coupe because of upcoming surgery and am wondering what I should ask for it. I live in So CAL.. I'm the third owner and it had 13k on it when I got it. It's blue with dealer painted on silver stripes from new.
. Excellent condition and all service done by myself beyond the recommendations of the owners manual. I am a retired life long aircraft mechanic and all the work I do is A1.
It has 27k miles on it mostly weekend get a ways. It's never been abused with no burn outs. I spent 16k on all the usual upgrades which include the ACR wheels and brakes, performance pads, the new viper sized tires, braided lines, exhaust, K=N intake, new stock oil cooler with the braided lines,
Unitrak rear end and 3.55 gears. Also all the interior silver consoles, chrome knobs, upgraded rear speakers, MGM shifter wool rugs. To complete the package it was going to get the MCS street shoks.I just replaced the front wheel bearing assy.. both sides and new front rotor rings and pads. Since the rear end was installed a couple of years ago I have only put a couple thousand miles on it. I have a log of every thing I ever did to the car. I don't want to dump the car just yet but would $42k be a good starting price for my area. Thanks

Bristol, I'd start the asking price at $46k. I would believe you can sell it for $42k. Look at ebay, particularly the sold vehicles, and look at Autotrader for asking prices on similarly equipped. Post an add on Viper Alley (free) as well as the So-Cal viper site. Good luck, Mike

Thanks Mike for the estimate and I'd be happy with that price. I have a guy standing by but I'll get the surgery first and see how that goes. Can't imagine not having a viper in the garage, this is my second since 2003. Wonderful toys but one should never refer to them as an investment unless you're not talking about money but fun, pride of ownership etc., then they're the best investment there is.
