what's this car worth??

I was thinking about this the other day (I've only been on here for 11 months) but to see the Newbies that come on here & pretty much ask the same questions I did or the guys before me. I looked back on some of my old posts & it's the same stuff with that kid & his new toy mentality (& you telling them to use the search feature). It's just a rotating door with new characters.theres a lot of dopes looking around for vipers, he will find someone. then ten minutes later, the guy is posting here asking about exhaust sound, wheels, how much attention it gets etc...
at this point if everyone used the search feature than there really wouldn't be much else to talk about other than small talk (like old folks)

To me, a title problem is a title problem, whether its a 'typo', DMVs fault, whatever.
So I'd cut 20% off the 'clean' title price right there. It'll be 'your problem' at resale if it remains. I'd say if it was $42-44 WITH a good title, I'd be way under the norm here at $35ish as it sits.
IF THE SELLER will clean up the title problem, maybe you're back to dealing with it straight up.
My problem is cars with 'stories'. The more stories, the less money.

and what do you think a dealership pays for a car with a title problem?
i would never buy a car with a title problem unless i couldnt afford a good clean model, i intend to beat the car to death anyway, AND i get it for a steal.

I think car's worth somewhere in 30s. You'd have to look at it very closely, and drive it critically to determine if it's high or low 30s.

If that car had a clean title it would be worth high $30s maybe $40K depending on the time of year sold. With that issue, it is very hard to find that car being worth more than $30K. You have to keep in mind with not one but TWO issues, this car is going to be a tough sale. I have no idea what the seller is thinking at $64,000. He is on some serious drugs. People have the freedom to ask whatever they want but with a mileage issue, accident history, and higher mileage, who is going to really want this car except for the mods and at which at that point, this would be a good track car.
Under $40K for sure. There are plenty of nice clean cars out there that can be had for more than reasonable prices. I would pass and keep looking instead of trying to negotiate down a problem car where the seller is asking well over $60K. Seller is obviously delusional.
