Car goes to the alignment shop tomorrow. I have spoken
with the head tech, and he understands both the chassis
manual I provided him, and the spec's that Marv S supplied.
BUT, he said the spec's all call for alignment with the car
sitting at a particular ride height which is set by special
tools or equipment that is not available here. He's not
afraid to try it, but I'm the one who's taking the afternoon
off and also paying for the work.
Is it acceptable to set the car to '95 specs with the car
sitting at rest on all 4 corners ?
I would appreciate any advise as soon as possible.
Thanks, Robert

I wouldn't worry about it unless the car had been wrecked. We checked mine the first time it was aligned and it was no problem. The alignment turns into a real job if you have to adjust ride height. If you need specs for daily driving, search the site for a post I put here a while back. I tried the '95 settings (which are really the same as the '94 in the manuals)and these I posted have worked better for me.

Make sure the fuel tank is about 1/2 full this will allow a split between full and empty. The more negative camber you put in the car the less it tends to follow the road. My settings for street are

Front camber -.25 to -.50
front caster 6.00
toe 0 to .05" (keep positive to compensate for negative camber wear)

rear camber -.25 to -.50
rear caster to spec (if he has a caster tool ) if not tell him when adjusting camber make sure the adjusts front an rear camber bolts in control are same amount you can visually see the lower ball joint move forward or back
rear toe 0.00 to .05" same reasons as front

Short answer: YES.

But do place the equivalent weight of the driver in the seat. If you almost-always have a passenger, also add that weight.
