I have gen III ten spokes that I would like to have restored to like new. One is slightly bent and has some curb rash the other three need some freshening up so they all match. Do y'all have any suggestions on where to get them fixed.

TIA,
Me

there's one in Memphis too. I've done some work for guy in Little Rock. His were VR-1's though. Little bit different. Shoot me a pic and I can give you idea what it should run.

I'd be interested in this as well. I curbed and gouged my left rear 5-spoke last week. I have a refurbished one wheel on order from VPA, but a couple folks have looked at my wheel and said it's repairable. So, after I have it switched out for the new one, I wanted to have this one repaired and keep it as a spare.

How about decently deep gouges around the lip? I've got some fairly deep marks on one of my rims in a few places and was curious if they can build the material back up or not if there's enough missing.

The one in Dayton? I had them mount up my refinished SRT 5-spokes when I couldn't find a tire shop worth a damn around here...good dudes, and did a great job. If I had known about them earlier, I would have never had to have my wheels refinished in the first place. Nothing like skipping a pry bar across a wheel face to make a customer happy

Chip, you did a great job repairing that wheel! What do you do when you have to add material?

Sorry, just now saw all the pics. The main problem with correcting the curbed part is it'll be noticeable "transition" from bare alum to the clearcoated area. It can be repaired "budget"/less noticeable or stripped, polished re-cleared. Bent rim, no problem to fix. I don't think the Gen3 were the Alcoa Durabrite finish.
Hope this helps. It's hard to explain the repair options on polished wheels, other than different finishes have different processes and different results. confused or capt obvious :D

^^^ I agree at this point I just want the bent wheel fixed so I can put my new tires on and drive again. I'm looking at new wheels then I'll address these.

The bend would/should run in the $100 range to repair just to give you an idea if you take it/ship it somewhere. remount/balance included. :D
