Wheels and tires for a 99 RT

Hi folks,
Just closed on a 99 RT10, and the first thing I need is tires. It has stock rims and definitely needs new tires as the fronts are from 2016 and the back are from 2001! I got a quote of $1700 installed for new BF Goodrich G-force rivals (that was a handful to type!) on stock rims. Are these any good?

My other option is to spend a little more and go with an aftermarket set of wheels plus tires (used?) since I was going to change out the stock wheels anyway. What vendor do yall recommend for aftermarket wheel/tire combos?

If anyone has any wheels + tires for sale let me know (I'm a fan of the CCW SP505 look)

I live in Houston so hoping to find something I can pickup.

I have a set of oem 18" wheels off my 99 GTS with 13k miles on them. Tires are from 2020 with 70% tread left, but I'm in FL so not sure the shipping would be worth it.

Otherwise, any decent tire from a good manufacturer will be just fine unless youre searching for tenths of a second on lap times. PS4s and Conti Sport 2 are the best options that are still usable in most conditions.

If youre going to get new wheels dont waste your time getting tires on ones youre going to get rid of

thanks for the reply folks, I had to bite the bullet and buy new ones (BF Rivals) for the stock 99 wheels as I have to drive it home 200 miles from the dealer in 2 days.
I might sell the stockers with these brand new tires soon as I am keen to get into a new eye pleasing set!

When ready, I have a brand NEW set of G5 five spokes cheap. The color is off between the fronts and rear, but cheap. Your 99 center caps will fit in the rims too. 18X10.5" fronts, 19X13" rears. Shipped to Houston for $2200, cheap.
